Swanson Bamboo Extract - Natural Hair, Skin and Nails Supplement - 70% Silica Content Supporting Collagen Formation & Bone Growth - (60 Veggie Capsules, 300mg Each)

I was previously using the Swanson Horsetail and before that another brand of silica for years now and I really only noticed a small difference. I even tried the liquid silica, I can't remember the name and that was better but not as much as now. I ordered this thinking okay not another one! Okay I'll give it a try as my hair is falling out mainly due to the "life change". The first thing I noticed was that I had a glow in like less than a week! I thought it was my imagination the first time I I saw it then it continued on the following days. It looked almost like I had on airtouch makeup or something, I can't explain it but my skin is brighter and I look younger. I racked my brain trying to think what was the change and I finally realized it was this Bamboo Extract. I thought okay that's a good sign, it's working for my skin. I bought this about 5 weeks ago and I am about to place an order again, mainly because I am catching up on all of my vitamins & herbs. Then I thought to myself, well I'm not sure if it's working for my hair, what else? Oh well as I am typing I realize my nails are longer (I cut most of them down over the past few weeks because they were weak, and probably needed to start afresh) and stronger! That has not happened with the other products, they may have grown but did not get as strong as these are now. The other thing is while I can't tell yet if it's working for the hair on my head, it really is causing hair to grow fast on my actual body including my eyebrows (and chin). I am definitely having to shave and pluck more often especially recently. Overall this is working after 5 weeks for me and that is telling me that I may even see the improvement in my hair in maybe three months. This is good stuff, I am surprise to say after trying so many different things and I will continue to order.

So far this seems to be working wonders.... I have been taking it for just barely a month, and I can see tons of growth. I didn't measure, but I was able to put my hair in a pony tail, but not a bun when I started this, now I can put it in a bun. And when I wore a large claw clip, my hair barely stuck up the top maybe a couple inches, now its tumbling down several inches. I had major issues with my thyroid and lost tons of hair, and my hair color even changed real dark. Even though I have been taking thyroid medicine for over a year now, the hair was barely growing back... and I could really measure because since so much fell out I had to cut it real short, just to deal with the fall out mess... The meds seemed to help with the thinning, although there was still quite a bit of shedding, not super abnormal. Now, since I've been taking this, I barely have any fall out/shedding... I have never in my life gone without tons of fallout, everytime I brush my hair the bristles would always be full of hair, in a week it would be enough to clean a hand ful out. Not like when my thyroid went really bad and it was a handful a day. So....amazing the fall out/shedding is almost non-existence. The growth has to be at LEAST an inch.. but probably more. AND, my color, my natural color is coming back to the lighter, which also has not happened since I've been trying to fix my hair back from the thyroid issues with synthroid. So... I'm very happy with this, and I hope it remains available and affordable. ************UPDATE*************** about a month after first review, about two months since starting product, about ready for new bottle, have already ordered, taking once per day, I didn't notice so much when I wrote the first review, because I was mainly concerned for my hair, but my nails are looking Amazing! They were pretty clear on the tips and tore very easily. Now, they are white a a french manicure on the tips! And, if they get a snag or something, it takes some real effort to tear them off, and I can see if I do, just how thick and strong the nail has become. I am really just So satisfied. And my hair has continued to get thick and long. I wish we had this in our normal American diet so from an early age we would have better health.

It worked. I took two of these per day. Ive gained about an inch, maybe inch and a half. It just wouldnt grow past my arm pit. Now, it's climbing past my boobs. Ummm... Just thought I'd update this with hair is growing everywhere. My eyelashes are seriously longer, as are my eyebrows. I also spotted some random hairs under my chin and on my lip. This stuff is amazing. I must have some sort of nutrient deficiency because this stuff works too well. I will probably keep taking two a day, but then as soon as I get my length, I'm quitting. I don't need a lady-stache. Be careful with this stuff. If it works for you, it might work too well. I take two of these with 1 prenatal, 20,000 mcgs of biotin and 1000 mgs of ascorbic acid everyday. They say you need acid to digest it and recommend the high does of ascorbic acid - not to be mixed up with vitamin c. Really must be ascorbic acid standardized. I'm turning into the wolf lady. Worth it or not? Maybe. Also I have issues with red eyes. My eyes are noticeably whiter.

I’m sensitive to b vitamins because I’ll get overstimulated and get anxiety on higher dosages. So I’m glad that the dosages on this one are more in normal recommended ranges, but that it’s also split into two pills. I take 1 pill a day and don’t feel any anxiety or overstimulation at all. Also, that the formula is all derived from quinoa. I also have food allergies so finding naturally sourced vitamins is difficult most of the times. Because it’s always some added ingredient I’m allergic to. So thank you for this product. And please keep it in your product line. Thank you

I AM a negro(israelite) man with wooly hair and this has made my hair very thick and i got 3 inches in a month!!!! No lie!i combine it with horsetail extract and 10,000mcg biotin and coconut oil. It also made my melanin glow so nicely . my melanin looks like smooth silk chocolate. I use to have black spots on my face and a little bit acne and now its cleared up :). LET ME REMIND YOU...THIS BAMBOO EXTRACT IS POTENT AS HELL! I take 2 a day for 4 days a week. 1 in morning and 1 before bed :). This works ppl :).
