Makes Excellent GABA Rice
I was overwhelmed with all the varieties of brow GABA rice to use with my new Zojirushi rice cooker with GABA setting. This one had good ratings and was the least expensive so I gave it a try. Much to my surprise it made excellent tasting GABA rice and I really don't need to go shopping for a different brand. My only complaint is that in my rice maker GABA rice takes over 3-1/2 hours to make! I am going to try it on a regular brown rice setting and see how it performs.

Sprouted Brown Rice!
Sprouting grains has an impact on the nutrition profile. I think it tasted nicer than most other brown rice I've had as well.

Nice texture and taste
One of the best sweet brown rice brands I can find. Rice is chewy and has an excellent texture and flavor . I wish they had large bags and had organic in the sweet brown rice. I have also tried the short brown rice same as the sweet brown rice but not sweet obviously. Excellent , will order again. I hope they make large bags in sweet brown and start to have more organic options. This rice does not get mushy stays chewy and fluffy like teriyaki bowls.... I use rice cooker.

Delicious but somewhat expensive sprouted brown short grain rice needs to be cooked with care!
This is sprouted short grain brown rice, which is extremely difficult to find. The texture and flavor, if properly cooked, is superior to regular brown rice. I recommend NOT following exactly the package instructions:1. Soak the rice in warm water at least 1 hr before cooking.2. Wash the rice thoroughly with running cold water until the water runs clear.3. Use a LOWER water to rice ratio; 1.5 cups of water for every cup of rice.4. Put soaked and drained rice in water with salt to taste and about 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil per cup of rice, and bring to a roiling boil.5. Lower heat to lowest stove setting.6. Cook 40-45 minutes, covered. Do not open the pot to stir the rice.7. At 40 min or 45 min, turn heat off. 40 minutes for more al denté but cooked rice, 45 min for softer consistency.8. Wait for 10 minutes, with pot lid closed.9. Open, fluff rice with fork, and serve.

I absolutely love this rice!
Before I found this rice, my guilty pleasure was short-grain white Calrose. It is not that great for me as it is just starch with no fiber, but it tasted yummy. This brown Calrose has the same taste but includes some fiber, making it a win/win for taste and being a bit healthier.

Sticky and sweet- for dinner, desert dish or breakfast porridge.
Used this in my new rice cooker set to sweet brown rice- it is so sweet-and tasty. We used the left over rice and added some milk, golden raisins, and a bit of maple syrup and made a hot cereal which was in my opinion better than the steel cut oats we usually use. Maybe next time I will blend the two in a porridge, very reasonable and delicious . 😊👍🏻🥢

Ok, at best, but I’ll stick with the far superior Shirakiku Gaba
I decided to try this when I’d ran out of Shirakiku: Koshihikari Premium Sprouted Brown Gaba Rice, also available on Amazon. The Shirakiku is excellent, I love making Donburi bowls with it. The reviews of this Good Reason Sprouted Rice looked good, so I thought I’d try it. There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with this Rice, and relative to the Shirakiku there are two plus points: price, and that it produces a more sticky result. The Shirakiku is superior in every other important way. Flavor, texture, cooking resilience. I’ll still use the Good Reason when I desire that slightly sticky texture from a brown rice, but mostly it’ll be the wonderful Shirakiku Gaba.

Good Rice
This is a good rice for the price. I used to use a major health food store brand that has just become more and more expensive, so I was looking for something affordable and this fit the bill. It cooks up great is that brown rice I enjoy!
