Steve MaddenMen's Harken Boot

I had already owned this exact pair of boots for the last 2 years. I bought my last set from an actual steve madden store. So i knew exactly what size to order and i remember the day i bought my last pair, how comfortable they were the first day i put them on.These boots were a completely different story. The first day i tried them on i thought they were extremely small and not comfortable. I gave them a day to see if maybe they just needed stretched out a bit. They were terrible. When i got home i double checked the tag to make sure they didn't send me the wrong size. What i found was a size 11 tag stuck ontop another tag. I pulled the tag back and was able to barely make out a size 10 on the original tag beneath. I dont know why there was a 2nd tag on the boots but I will be purchasing these boots from a brick and mortar from now on.Amazon is atleast giving me a refund for this purchase.

I really like these shoes - I usually fall somewhere between a 10 and 11 depending on the type of shoe I order. I used Prime wardrobe and picked a 10, 10.5, and 11. I went with the 10.5. If the shoes are even slightly tight it won't feel good. The leather is REALLY stiff, so size is very important on this one. My foot fit into the 10 okay, but made my foot hurt after 10 min of wear around the house. I don't know what kind of feet some of the people writing reviews that these boots are "too big" have, but I am a sz 14 in 90% of the shoes I own. The design of these chukkas wouldn't even allow me to get my foot into the boot. I maybe got my foot 60% of the way in at which point there is no physical way to get my heal to slide in even with a shoe horn.

This is a late review because I stopped wearing these after the sole began to separate after Two (2) weeks of use. These are nice but not worth the buy. Move onto a different brand. I still have them and they are in great condition if anyone would like proof with pictures. Very disappointed. I have $40 boots from Target that are of better lasting quality and comfort than these. Either spend more for better boots or try them out and see for yourself. Maybe myself and a few others have just gotten defective boots. I'd stay away but that's just my opinion; buy at your own risk.

These are nice shoes at a sub-$100 price point. I enjoy wearing them, they have a nice look and I would purchase them again. There is some cracking in the leather which is to be expected for a shoe at this price. I wear these shoes about twice a week, so about 40 times or so. The first photo is recent after a cleaning and polish. He second photo is Same day after one day of wear. I normally wear 11.5 in street shoes and 11 in dress shoes. These 11’s were a bit snug so I used some shoe stretch spray and they are just right.

Great boots, very soft, sole lasts a fairly good while. (for me around 2 years) bought these for work (airline pilot) so they have to endure alot of walking and manuvering in and out of the cockpit. The boots have a slight grey band between the sole and the uppers that I take a black sharpie and color black due to uniform color requirements on the job. I wear a mens size 13 and I'm on my second pair (I scratch the sides alot and like a fresh looking pair). I also have the tan version for casual wear for everyday use or traveling with my wife.

I normally wear a 10, so I ordered these in a 10. They were much tighter on the top of my foot than expected. I'm not a shoe expert, but I guess that would mean the width was too narrow. They were just too uncomfortable and I didn't want to try breaking them in to see if they would be more comfy later. The toe box felt fine though.I really liked the style/look of these boots, but I didn't want the hassle of returning them and waiting for a bigger size to arrive. Also decided to just bite the bullet and get some more expensive shoes that will hopefully last longer. I have never owned Steve Madden shoes, but have heard they aren't the highest quality.

I always wear Chukka Boots that look similar to this because I do a lot of walking on gravel and pavement so I need a shoe that is both professional and durable. This shoe does look good and that is why I gave it two stars instead of one but it is the absolute most uncomfortable shoe I have ever put on. I'm no expert, but it seems like a design flaw. The shoe, which is already creased after one shift wearing them seems to crease in the wrong spot putting pressure on a weird part on top of my foot. The boot is a little lighter than it looks in the picture too.

Great looking boot. Fits as expected and it very comfortable. As they wear they look even better. Cleaned and treated mine with leather cleaner/waterproofing and it didn’t darken the leather. Looks great with jeans or chinos/dress pants. Love this boot so much I bought a second pair.

Too narrow for North American feet

and at an awesome price. This is the third pair I've bought (different colours). My advice - put it in your "save for later" as the prices fluctuate. This pair at my size was only $60 CDN! This is the only thing that confuses me - why different sizes and colours range in price (some double what I paid).

I honestly didn’t have high hopes for these shoes as we usually are disappointed. These shoes were long enough and didn’t look strange because of the larger size. They are right in the toes but we are hoping they will stretch a bit with wear.If your feet are wide they will be too tight on your toes.
