Hair Chalk, Hair Chalk for Girls (Large 24 colors)

Unlike most hair chalks, this one is quite literally chalk. It makes your hair incredibly dry and caused a lot of breakage, even while applying down the hair shaft. When the package came and I opened it, several of the pieces were already broken. They are fragile since they are chalk. Then I applied it to my damp hair and attempted to blow dry my hair. THIS IS NOT HOW TO PROPERLY APPLY. It was incredibly hard to blow dry my hair as I could not comb/brush through the spots with color; it instantaneous would tangle and start breaking my hair. My hair was a rat's nest. It took me 20 minutes just to try to brush it out into something that could be styled. Even then it was a nightmare. I had to section my hair to brush through and again this was causing a lot of damage and breakage. It was still incredibly dry and a giant puff ball. Again parting to use my flat iron was still a nightmare. It wasn't until I had everything straightened and then curled that it looked good. Like most hair "chalks" the hair starts out bright and will diffuse and blend the more you brush it. The color options were great, but again this product is actual chalk that you could use on a chalk board. The second time I tried it, I started with dry hair and then only dampened the sections I was coloring, applied the chalk, blow dried and then straightened one section at a time, and it worked better, but still caused a decent amount of breakage. However it was closer to the damage other products can cause. When you apply the product, it does apply decently easily, but it also disintegrated pretty quickly. Clean up is also easy because it's just chalk which isn't greasy or stain. But it does make a mess, and you must be careful to clean your hands between colors. In the end, I decided to use a different product that comes in pen form for ease of use.

Okay this stuff is amazing ive had it for awhile now and it's exactly what i was looking for.I put 2 pictures up the first its the day i put it in and the second is after a few washes i expected it to come right out after the first wash but my hair is so light it stays in for a few weeks before i have to add more so if you have very light hair and you want it for only a day or so this is probably not the right stuff for you. The only thing thats annoying about this product it that it dries out my hair like crazy and makes its so tangled but i found that if i shampoo my hair then put in the chalk then condition it after it helps and i can actually get a brush through my hair the color is not as bright this way but it helps keep my hair healthier.

Keeping kids busy and entertained during "Covid 19 confinement" is not always an easy task. Hair Chalk is a definite entertainment that is enjoyed by both kids and adults.During a warm afternoon, I allowed my 3 daughters (all with long hair) to color my beard (a Covid 19 beard - I never had one before and I shaved it since). The one condition is that they would do the same to each other. They spent about 30 minutes training with my beard. They found out they should wet the hair a bit (more like humidify), and then have a blast. Once done with me, we took a couple picture and I showered. All of the color went away with ease (just remember to clean your shower well before it dries out). They spent about 2 more hours coloring their hair. After they were done, they had plenty more chalk left (for at least one more time - remember - 3 daughters with long hair)This is an inexpensive entertainment, especially if you take into consideration that it is for 4 people and over 2 hours of fun.I definitely recommend it.

I bought this to use on my 4 year olds hair as part of a costume. The application is easy but very messy. We also needed to actually dip the chalk is water for it to work efficiently. It got all over my hands, but easily washes off with soapy water. Once the color was applied it wasn’t very vibrant, which I was disappointed with since the picture on the package has very bright colors. We followed instructions thoroughly and dried with a hair dryer after application. It set a little but still rubbed off almost every-time she touched her hair. After drying the color become more noticeable but it was still not bright and some areas you could barely see color at all. My biggest issue with this was that after the color is applied the hair becomes extremely dry and ratty. I could hardly get a comb through it, which made it impossible to style. Over all, it was fun to try but def over priced for what it is and I probably wouldn’t purchase again.

Edited 9/1/2021. While I still love this chalk and the ease of applying ot to the hair, I don't like the stiffness of it once it's in the hair. My hugest issue tho is the fact it doesn't fully wash out of blond hair, natural and especially processed/bleached. This chalk is very easy to apply and it looks great. My hair is blond so it shows the best on blond hair. The staining isn't too bad, it does stain your fingers a bit. I wouldn't say it's hard to get off but you gotta put some effort into getting it off your fingers. I love this stuff and will definitely be buying more in the future.

The media could not be loaded.  We had a lot of fun with this hair chalk! It’s easy to use, but be prepared to have some messy hands, as your fingers do turn whatever color chalk you are using - A little soap and water washes it off clean though so no worries! My 2 daughters have blonde and brunette hair and I was happy that the chalk works great on both! The colors are vibrant and made my girls feel like total rock stars! When applying, I used a spray bottle to wet their hair first, as the instruction manual recommended damp hair for best results. Very easy to use! Beautiful colors!Negative: it’s messy. The chalk gets on your face and hands. Definitely do not use in the heat if you expect to get a little sweaty. Be sure to have face wipes with you as they get the color off pretty easy.

I love it. very easy to use and it lasts for days. It a fun and temporary way to change up your look
