Carmine dye is prepared by boiling powdered or dried insect bodies in chemicals or water. Carmine has been known to cause severe allergic reactions in some people. It is made from insects! But carmine is in all sorts of stuff, including some popsicles. Carmine is a natural color, and it is sometimes listed only as "natural color" or "natural coloring" on supplement and food labels.

Oh so wonderful to have delicious tasting vitamin C's.

I'm sorta addicted to these. I don't like orange flavor but the strawberry is sweet and tangy and I order a bottle of these everytime I run out. I wish I knew where else to find them but here but until then, I keep ordering these because they are the best dang chewable C's on the market.

If you're looking for the strong strawberry flavor of the large pink Vitamin C tabs you usually find in health food stores, this is not quite it. They are still delicious in their own way, though.

These Vitamin C tablet are very tasty. By no means are they boring or chalky tasting. The hint of strawberry does make it seem like candy...it's so easy to actually stick to eating 2 a day! If you ever tried standard vitamin c pills and gave up after 4 days since the cellulose taste and bitterness stopped you, then go with these!They are seriously delicious and I never mind "having" to eat them...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
