I am doing some massive bulb planting in my yard. I have 3,000 bulbs I'm putting down. I just finished the first section of about 300 bulbs in an hour. Would have gone much faster with someone else helping to plant and pack the holes. I can't imagine doing this any other way. This drills a bulb sized hole in the ground in seconds you drop the bulb sweep the dirt back in the hole and move on.

The but is, if you're not a really strong sort of person, test this out in loose soil first. Also, wear safety glasses and long pants. The force of the auger in clay/packed dirt means the drill can twist, potentially causing a sprained wrist. And dirt kicks out everywhere, so safety glasses very much needed. Otherwise, this is an amazing tool!

I WISH I HAD THIS LONG TIME AGO!!!! We have clay soil so it's never easy to dig the hole for planting. With this, I don't even need shovel anymore, and the soil are nice broken up and easy to be mixed with other materials for planting! Strongly recommend this!!!

Works great; however; I believe I need a nut driver because I can't tighten the drill enough around the insertion tip. It works great drilling forward but when I use reverse, the auger comes out of the drill. Do you sell the correct size nut driver? I bought a ryobi variety pack at home depot and none of them fit the auger.

It works for me. This is a good quality item, it doesn't get rusted. I have made some holes but not too deep ones to plant flowers. This item is like a helper, if you want to make small holes, that works better for the ones who want to plant the biodegradable pots.

I have used the smaller auger to break up the soil under my fifth wheel so I can install anchors, worked like a charm but the tip broke off. They did a good weld job on the screws, every once in awhile we use tools in an unorthodox manner 👍🏻😁.

Purchased a new home that had no curb aple! The large agre went right into the soil and dug it up.

It is good to use with the existing lawn. I don't recommend it to drill a fence post hole. Shank will bend everytime it hits even small rocks.

Works like a charm! By using this tool while under a deck, we were able to easily break up soil to make excavating holes for 4”X4” posts in a confined working space, an easy job.

It is a good tool, helpful for making holes, but only at well prepared soil, you can use it for medium light works.
