Szco Supplies Viking Battle Axe
I found this item while looking for Viking Replica weapons as a gift for someone special who loves everything about the Vikings. It certainly sounded impressive for the price and looked great in the picture. I found the Axe to be even more impressive when I received it. It was perfect and the pricing was fantastic. The wide stainless steel head is very impressive and the handle is a nicely finished wood. You might find one for $150.00 that could be a little better but I would have paid double what I did for this one and been happy. This may be a review of the first Battle Axe, or the second one since I was so taken with the Axe that I ordered a second one for myself. Would recommend this to any viking weapon fan. Will look great as a display or for re-enactments.

Fun prop, great price.
Really not bad for decoration or maybe a costume. Nice and think so nothing will really break. Can’t really find anything wrong with it. What you see is what you get. The wood color and grain pattern might vary.

This thing is pretty friggin sweet.
Ok, so let's get this out of the way. This is a showpiece. I would not buy this to use in any sort of combat, at least without substantial modification. From a male's perspective...that being said, this thing is pretty awesome. It's a bohemoth for certain. Translation: it's friggin huge! It will look awesome on your wall, but make sure it's in a man cave room or a home office or something. Your significant other will not be ok with this hanging on the living room wall. The blade is massive and reasonably dangerous, and should not be handled by most children...and some adults. This thing is such a beast it almost destroyed the packaging it came in. The UPS driver said, "Damn dude! You have an axe in there or something?" I said, "Yes. There's an axe in there." If I had one gripe it would be the lack of some kind of sheath. But, these didn't necessarily historically have sheaths so I understand. It would just help for the trip from the warehouse to the front door so the delivery driver doesn't fear for his life. And hey, it's under $30. Buy it for your pointy s--t collection right now.

Perfect prop!
Perfect! The blade is blunt so no troubles with someone getting cut and it has a nice weight! I tested it out on some watermelons and had a fun time! Perfect for any costumes whether it be halloween or renfair! (Tho do be wary it is a little cumbersome unsurprisingly)

This will take a lot of work.
Received this item today. Sure, it looks badass. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. At just around $20, I figured I would give this axe a try. At first glance this product appears much more oriented towards display than other products I have dealt with. There are a few outstanding issues. 1. The coloration of the handle appears to be a very poorly executed stain job. 2. The "blade" has absolutely no edge. I would say that where the edge should be is approximately 1/8 of an inch of flat surface. 3. The haft is simply not long enough to use two hands, which seems necessary to correctly balance the huge head of this weapon. I'm not giving up on this piece. I always enjoy a challenge that allows me to customize my weapons. But it will take a good deal of work. I am considering fitting this axe with a longer handle, but as of now it is unclear as to how the head is attached to the original handle. Perhaps by glue. Sharpening the edge by hand seems next to impossible, but I will give it a try. Given the chance, I would have sooner spent $5 to $10 more on another tomahawk from Cold Steel. Most highly-prized possession
I bought this axe for my 17-year-old son, who aspires to be a Viking, and loves it. He owns several other medieval weapons, but this is by far his favorite! He could barely put it down, the first couple of days after he received it. I hated paying $10 for shipping, but otherwise it was a bargain! The axe has a solid, no-nonsense feel to it -- truly, a delightful weapon for hanging on a wall, using in a costume, or just carrying around as an intimidating conversation piece. The bottom point of the blade is quite sharp -- only the very coolest of parents will be able to bring themselves to buy this for their sons.

If you are looking for a perfect display piece this most likely isn't for you
If you are looking for a perfect display piece this most likely isn't for you. But... This item was just as listed. Blank slate handle which I intend on spiffying up with wrapped leather and metal studs to fit the exact look I am going for. I think it's worth mentioning since other reviewers have that I thought the blade was decently sharp with the corners at top and bottom being very pointy. It's an axe afterall. But I intend on taking my Dremmel to the blade to dull it out since it's being used only as a prop. Also, the blade has some blemishes. Little dark spots. Personally I like the blemishes since I am using this as a headsman's axe. (Stage prop) All in all this thing is perfect for my use and at $22 I couldn't beat it.

Sturdy, attractive, well made bearded axe for a great price
What a great bargain price for a well made display/reenactment bearded axe. It's solid, sturdy, looks great with no craftsman errors and though it's unsharpened, you can really wield this beast and feel the Viking inside you awaken. I'm amazed at what I received for the price I paid.

Buena relacion durabilidad y precio
La mandan con poco filo, y del mango un poco suelto, pero puede resolverse, mas si la tienes en mente para algun proyecto de modificación o grabado. La he probado contra ramas gruesas y por el resultado no dudo que pueda aguantar mas. Muy satisfecho

Viking Axe
Totally awesome. Arrived earlier that predicted. Blade fairly sharp. Want this mounted on wall. Like it far more than expected and want it display

Solid for the Price (Some flaws)
The axe is nice looking and decent functioning, but just a general breakdown here: -Tip of the blade came bent (I could hammer it back though easily) -Blade is not very sharp (easy to sharpen yourself) -Head of the axe is just glued on (add a couple of screws it's chill) -Blade had minor scuffs (not like you won't add more using it) -More of a one hand axe if you don't mind some weight (just in case you didn't get size) -Is it Mjornir? Unfortunately no. Will it bring you to Valhalla? Maybe Happy Yuletide
