Looking forward to using this book in my classroom. The new math standards for the state of Georgia rely heavily on number talks. I'm grateful for the suggestions

This 6th - 8th grade edition is exactly what teachers need for actually their 4th & 5th grade students. It builds on the 3rd - 5th grade Number Talks with larger numbers and grade level content. 7 out of the 10 chapters are relevant to 4th & 5th grade math standards & content. The last 3 chapters is definitely more directed toward the upper 6th - 8th grades (integers, percentages, & linear equations). I would recommend this edition, especially for those trying to address & close unfinished learning of math concepts from the school closures.

This book is just okay. I found some of the suggested questions helpful, but most of the book was not something I could use day to day in the classroom.

I love how I can just apply straight from the book!

My children got this as a gift for me for Valentine's day. I am happy with their caring hearts, but this book is bare and incomplete. Additionally, this is more for elementary school, not 6th,7th, and 8th grades.

I have been teaching 20 years and I am no math whiz nor am I fan of this new math they keep pushing but alas... I have to teach this even though it was never taught to me.Well this book is amazing. Has MULTIPLE examples to give the kids on every single lesson - you will never run out! And you will never have to invent the wheel - pick a lesson, pic an example or two and boom! You’re all set. Also each page is a different number talk concept. I’ve learned so much from this book that I am more confident in math reasoning myself. and my kids even try the strategies on their own now. I am very happy and have recommended it to our staff for purchase. Thank you for making this book!

Much simpler and user friendly than the actual number talks books. Essential for anyone teaching number talks at this stage!

Plenty of examples but doesn’t explain number talks or strategies so you would need to be familiar with that element
