Be serious when gauging your expectations for a charging cable. Do you buy a pair of sneakers and then give them poor marks because 3 months after you've purchased them they show signs of wear? No... it's an item that you use every day. It will take a beating, get balled up in your purse/bag, get sucked up in the vacuum, strangle a would-be robber... you get my point.With that being said, this cable lives up to the hype. I'm an avid Monoprice customer. They make fantastic cables. Unfortunately, they do not make a cable this large to compensate the ever-increasing need for power to our high-draw electronic devices. As a result, I was forced to stray from my usual and I am glad that I did.The micro-usb side is very stiff. The rubber protecting the solders does a very good job. Unfortunately, a unit that I received had the shield-to-ground solder come loose. As a result, it would no longer charge in AC, only USB. I contacted Amazon and they sent me a new one overnight. The new one is equally as awesome.With this cable and my factory charger, my HTC One Max will charge from nearly dead (Less than 10%) to 100% in 35-40 minutes. I can be playing games, watching movies... anything and it will still charge.Excellent cable.

How do you evaluate a product as simple as a charging cable, it either works of it doesn't.That's sort of a true statement but doesn't consider the fit, finish, and build quality.This is where this cable leaps to the front. The cable is at least 11/2 times larger around than the OEM cable I received with my Nexus tablet it also fits tighter into the tablet than the original cable it replaced because that cable was overheating (becoming warm to the touch).With the OEM charger and cable plugged in the battery would loose significant charge watching YouTube videos dropping to a 40% charge after 45 minutes. With the same charger and this new cable I've watched 11/4 hours of video and lost less than 3% (dropping from full charge to 97%) no cable heat noted.One other very important point; at my local Best Buy a 3ft cable was $17.95 they had no 6ft cable in store and Radio Shack was $25.00 for the 3ft cable.If your in need of charging cables don't be scared off by their low price.Mediabridge cables are top notch at nearly a third of the cost.

I am very impressed and pleased with the 2 cables I ordered. They thick, strong and well built. I ordered these because I wanted my wife and I to be able to have a greater range of motion while using and charging our Nexus 7's and Moto X's. Somehow I tend to go through a lot of standard cables, usually because they separate and fray at the of the cable to the connections, but not always. So, I also wanted something strong enough to last. I am not concerned with the cables being large and taking up space. I have found that compact and easily stored/packed cables do me no good when they go bad.No worries with these cables! These cables definitely meet my requirements - strong, sturdy joining of cable to connector and long enough to reach anywhere we want them to reach. I can easily charge devices in our car cigarette lighter while our kids use them in the back seat (for those long drives).I have also been very impressed with the manufacturer Mediabridge Products LLC. Their follow up email, after the timely delivery, was well done and very refreshing. It is nice to know immediately that if there are any issues you don't have run an obstacle course to find assistance!I would definitely recommend these cables and Mediabridge Products. I just ordered two more of these cables so we each have one for home and one for travel.Another great Amazon experience! :-)

This is a huge boon, especially since I use my phone's GPS and radio capibilities often. The cord itself is thick and very durable as well, with both the standard USB and micro plug having very tight, snug fits to their respective ports. A previous review had mentioned a loose connection to their android device, but my experience has been the complete opposite - when the cable is plugged in, it doesn't budge at all.I'd imagine that if you're browsing a product like this you already know what to expect, but just in case, keep in mind that this cable is for charging only, not data. If you need a cable that does both, look elsewhere, but understand that a run-of-the-mill data cable won't maximize the rate at which your device can charge. Because of this, I keep it in my car exclusively.Solid product, A+

A regular USB cable has 4 pins. 2 of these are used for power (ground and +voltage) and 2 for the pc to sync with. Many devices will see this and think they are connected to a PC if you use a non charging cable by detecting the data sync pins accordingly.A charging USB does not have PC pins. these are shorted together, the charging device only sees an AC connection.Got a slow charging phone? Wonder why some cables charge faster than others? There you go. This is cheap, well made, I like the grey tips to differentiate it from other cables.If you are here in the first place, just get it. Free Prime. 6 feet is the perfect length too as you do not have the attenuation you get at 10 feet (slower charging).My 2 cents.

Pricey but cables built quality and charging speed is wonderful. Can easily see the difference when compared to other ordinary cables. I use it in my car and my mobile charges faster than most of the charges connected to wall sockets.

The hooks attached to hold the connector to the device gets damaged after sometime and cable altogether stopped working in 6 months from purchase.
