This is better than any charcoal filter for water mediums as it is from natural bamboo! I like companies like this that have a natural and no-frill approach to things. Most charcoal filters have plastic or some proprietary method of using it or it needs an accompanying machine to use it. This is a stand alone filter - meaning you can use it in any method and with any method you need. I like to put them in 1 gallon glass jars to purify my water. I prefer my charcoal from bamboo as these are better than the typical wood industry chemical leftovers that are turned to charcoal. This filter will completely remove metal taste in water over time. I like to wait at least 3-5 hours. It can be even used for gardening or air purifying and many other means. It is a porous material despite feeling solid so it binds toxins as well as offset tastes like copper from water pipes etc. I put this as I was always looking for a product like this that I could use as I wanted - not needing to but some other machine or necessity. This is also great for a water bottle for bicyclists or anyone carrying water etc on the go. I bought this with no expectations but it certainly surpassed what I imagined..

Some bamboo pieces were broken. It is too expensive for a few pieces of charcoal bamboo.

The media could not be loaded.  I add it to my water in the fridge and change the charcoal when I change water.

Looks like it’ll still work as intended, but not as fancy as promised.

I am a huge tea drinker. I use these to clean the water so I can truly taste the tea and it does wonderful. I can tell the difference if I do not use it. The charcoal is easy to use. It even makes filtered water taste better!

Broke easily. Don’t work as well as other brand I had before and some flot some don’t and only one had lots of white weird spots on both side. So weird!! Plus you have to buy one every month unlike other brand you can keep them 3 months.Go with other brand seriously! Regret trying this one out!

Bought these for hiking emergencies. Have not used them yet but love the idea!

I use these in a gallon-size pitcher of water that I keep in the fridge, since we don’t have a built-in filtered water dispenser. I have previously used the stick type, and prefer these sheet types because it looks more deliberate/aesthetically pleasing for guests that are not familiar with this type of filter.The description talks about using one piece in a personal water bottle, but I don’t think it would fit in most water bottles due to its width.I don’t recall that there was a lot of instructions included about how often to re-boil, but I see that it is included here on the product page.
