Bosch GWX10-45E 4-1/2 In. X-LOCK Ergonomic Angle Grinder with Slide Switch

I liked everything about it. It's powerful, easy to use, and is an effective tool overall. The "x" system is a sweet design which makes fast disc changes a breeze. Just make sure you buy the proper "X" discs for Bosch system. I've cut metal bolts with it, and 1/4" thick porcelain tiles with ease using the appropriate discs of course. Use eye and ear protection for best results. Its a powerful tool that shouldn't be taken lightly. It's not hard to injure oneself with this capable tool.

Has worked well with everything I have thrown at it. From demoing a cinderblock wall to cutting pipes and anything else you need a grinder for. The value to quality ratio just can be beat by other tool brand in my opinion.

I used a cordless cutting tool for years until the battery stopped holding charge. After checking price of the replacement battery I decided to try a corded unit from a brand that I trust. Halfway through the first cut through the tool-grade SST bar I realized what I have been missing all these years. BEASTLY POWER.This is a great cutting and grinding tool for almost price of a rechargeable tool battery.

Super quality and a Big-time saver switching disks... solid tool

Never got to use it so it may be a really good tool but this grinder requires a special proprietary disc that only bosch sells. It will not accept the standard grinder disc used by all other brands easily purchased anywhere. So I returned it.

I really like this grinder (my first angle grinder). My main application was to remove "thin set" which held ceramic tile to concrete block and it worked GREAT. My only reason for the 3 vs 5 star review is that you are locked into the Bosch attachment, which in my inspection are a good deal more expensive (Say 300%)...this kinda feels like the give the razor to sell the blades. But the grinder worked. great and I like the positive lock of the EZ attachments. I would buy again, but I think you will pay quite a bit more for attachment over the life of the grinder.

Bosch advertises Xlock as being 5x faster than a regular arbor. That is completely untrue, it's much faster than that. It takes 2-3 seconds to swap a disk with Xlock vs 30-45 seconds with a conventional arbor, and that's not including the time it takes to find the wrench. I used to carry 3 grinders with me on steel jobs, one with a cutting disk, one with a flap disk, and one with a wire cup. It would take too much time to swap disks with a regular grinder so I needed all 3, now I can bring one with different disks and a little die grinder. If you are a home gamer building bird houses in your garage I can see it maybe not being up your alley because of the extra up front cost, but for any pro it's well worth it.Aside from Xlock the grinder itself is very nice. Great power for a smaller grinder and the guard adjustment is fantastic. A couple of downsides. It's not variable speed, and the fit and finish is not as good as Bosch's German and Hungarian made tools (it's made in China).

Light tool and easy to handle and manuever with the task at hand. Good power and although I do not use the variable speed option, it's nice to have. Good value for the money and it seems to last!

Excelente esmeril ahorro muchísimo tiempo dinero y esfuerzo, ya que la perdida de tiempo es dinero perdido para mí, cambios rapidísimos, de dos esmeriles, ahora solo tengo este al servicio vale cada centavo los consumibles se pagan solos, muy buen invento de parte de bosch.

1) It "locks" you into new Bosch attachments.2) the GOOD news is there are adapters on Amazon "Adapter for XLOCK to 5/8"-11 Thread". So you can use your old attachments, AND attach them quickly. The down side is the adapter extends the disc past the safety guard.

look up xblades before you get in...nice system but youre locked into buying bosch brand pricey blades...nice system but useless for me.
