Masterplug Four Socket Rewireable Trailing Socket with Power Indicator and Individual Switches, without Plug and Cable, White

Getting hold of rewireable trailing sockets appears to be getting harder by the week. So thankfully there are still some to be had here on Amazon. Not sure why such a famine ? Joking apart, if you do not know what you are doing, please avoid this item. Stay safe, stay alive. For the rest of us, this is great. Easy to wire, with decent terminals and a good cord grip. It allows you to make an extension lead of the exact length you need

Exactly what i needed. I have notice that alot of these extension have a cable on the right hand side, would be great if alot of these companies gave you the option of left or right cable

The product arrived with an ominous rattle inside it and, apart from the cover over the connections, it's sealed so I couldn't take it apart to examine what was rattling. Then I noticed that one of the terminal screws was missing and, a good shake later, this emerged. Rattle now gone! Apart from that it's easy to wire up and the individual switches on each outlet are good, though not as positive a click as I would like.

Good quality four way socket. Not many places that you can buy one of these so that you can put your own length of 1.5mm2 wire in.

Obviously great value or I wouldn’t have bought it! Extremely easy to wire up. Can’t really say how sturdy the product is as it will not be thrown about. I think the switch version of a four bank extension is more likely to be mounted on a wall or backing board so sturdiness isn’t so much of an issue. For me personally, it’s perfect.

Masterplug always seems to be great quality, this was no exception. Being able to wire my own, exactly the right length cable is a bonus.

Two of the terminal screws were rattling around the sealed part of the socket. Annoying and inconvenient, not safe and poor for Masterplug . Quality could certainly be better.

Bought two of these in February for my garage and found them easy to use and wire up. Much prefer them to those without switches so that is a real benefit. I paid £5.50 each in February 2022 and have revisited the advert to buy another to find out they are now nearly £11 each which is a ridiculous jump in price in such a short time. For this price there are better alternatives. Overall a good item though.

I’m really happy with this Masterplug four-socket trailing unit! I followed a DIY guide and made my own extension cord with it something I’d never tried before and it worked perfectly. The instructions were clear, and the build quality is excellent. Each socket has its own switch and indicator, which makes it convenient and safe to use. As someone who doesn’t usually do electrical DIY, I was impressed by how sturdy and well-made it is. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to make their own custom extension lead!
