Sizzix 660550 Industrial Strength Die Cutting & Embossing Machine for Arts & Crafts, Scrapbooking & Cardmaking, 13” Opening, Big Shot Pro with Extended Accessories

I just got this and tried it out, it is very heavy and large 24 x 22, but I can eliminate all of my machines and just use this one. It has a metal slide tray and is well built Easy to just attach the handle and start using it. Comes with a good set of directions. Just wish it had more then one cutting pad, but I will order extras to have on hand

I am using this as an etching and relief printing press. It is a more economical option than purchasing a printing press. It is a very sturdy and solid machine and I'm sure it will last forever. I am very happy to recommend the machine and the seller. The item was well packaged and delivered even earlier than expected.

Love this machine! Cuts beautifully and is easy to use. I gave away my electronic cutter and only use my Sizzix Big Kick and now the Big Shot Pro. It is a heavy machine to lug around, so I would recommend finding a permanent spot to set this one up.

Good print-maker etching presses are expensive, so I spent a lot of time trying to find a more affordable alternative. I found the Sizzix Big Shot Pro online and after much research, decided it would work for me. It did. I can't review it as a scrapbooking/die-cutting machine (at least not yet) but it worked beautifully for my relief embossing. With the addition of 2-3 sheets of neoprene foam rubber, my handmade paper pressed beautifully into my linoleum carving when I ran it thru the press. I can't wait to start the next project!

Have 8 year die cutting experience with Big Shot Pro. Thousands of wedding items cut. Never had a problem. Needed new machine after giving it away to save space - bad choice. New Big Shot Pro bought didn't cut in the middle - ever. It only cut on the edges. Angling did not help. Have all adapters, shims, and platforms. I got a refund (hopefully). Then bought another Big Shot Pro from the same seller. It came quickly. Same problem with second machine. It would not cut one sheet 83 lb Stardream in the middle of the platform. It would only cut on the side edges. I tried 105 lb Stardream. It wouldn't cut in the middle with any combination of platforms and shims. I tried five different dies. Same problem. There were better results when adding narrow strips of paper in the middle to raise just the middle. It was a time consuming nuisance and the results were not acceptable. On the second piece of paper that went through the machine the crank became overly hard to turn and the gear ground. It was not stacked too high. This new machine is not like my old, reliable Big Shot Pro. The stabilizer bar came out of the first machine I returned. Both of these new Big Shot Pros are defective, lIkely from the same batch. I'm not ordering again from here. I will go to a store and try it out before buying. It could be they don't make them as well as they used to. Very disappointed not to be able to finish the wedding order. It also humiliated me in front of my husband who had to help me turn the crank. He was not happy with the expense and failure of operation. Not even going to try and get my money back a second time. The seller will just tell me that I don't know what I'm doing, and I do.

DISLIKES - # 1 If you haven't used this type of "cutter" before, you have to use trial and error approach as to which dies to buy, what additional items you need to buy and use to make it work. Very poor educational resources available to understand what to use and when. # 2 Like other comparable cutters it doesn't fold and its heavy and large, it takes up a lot of space in my small craft room. # 3 there didn't seem to be an easy way to find out what dies are specifically for quilters, lots of time spent looking and wondering if these are the only choices. LIKES - # 1 the quilting dies are ALOT less expensive than comparable dies for other machines (this is why I bought this machine). # 2 - This product doesn't have what I consider attack marketing, in fact, no one contacts you to find out if you are satisfied with the product. Like the comparable Accuquilt who will bombard you with emails, monitors which of their dies you have been looking at etc. and reminds you almost everyday what you didn't buy... yet. # 3 the quilt block pieces made when using this were perfect and my piecing accuracy has improved greatly which makes me enjoy (vs. being frustrated) the piecing process. Conclusion - I am happy I bought this, tempered with the learning curve of what to buy and how to use.

Love Sizzix products. When this was delivered it was missing the cutting plates. ended up having to order a set just so I could use my new cutter. Ended up returning for a new one. Was missing all of the plates/adapters.

OK so first of all this is kind of pricey so my main issue for not giving it 5 stars is that if I am paying $300 for something, I expect to be able to use it straight out of the box!!!! This is not the case with this people, in order to be able to use framelits dies, thinlits dies etc etc all of those wafer thin dies require the 3 part solo shim platform, the same thing that has the tabs that you get WITH the Big Shot, this is NOT included with the PRO, you also only get 1 cutting pad, so you may as well go ahead and buy at least one more, if not a pair. That's going to cost you another $60 or so but that's not to mention if you need to use an extended die, you will need a whole new sliding tray which right now on amazon costs $185.00 and all new extended accessories, even the extended cutting pads are $55.00. Yeah it's a great machine but it's not ready to go out of the box, and the accessories that you do need are very expensive. It's also about 35-40 lbs so you really want somewhere it can stay permanently because it's extremely heavy!!!! Apart from that knock yourselves out guys, you will love it once you have everything you need for it!

bonne machine , tres lourde , 20 kilos mais au moins elle tien bien en place pendant les découpes, prévoir une bonne table solide, pour ma part j'utilise deux tréteaux avec une planche de 5 cm d'épaisseur j'étais très impatiente de la recevoir je suis très satisfaite de ma big shot , le seul bémol c'est que les plaques tres vite merci

La máquina es de gran tamaño y peso, tiene una estructura sólida y es fácil de usar. Requiere de un espacio amplio para manipularse. No incluye todos los adaptadores, solo tiene la charola y adaptadores standard. Para trabajar con troqueles más grandes y sacar máximo provecho a la troqueladora es necesario comprar la charola extendida y el resto de aditamentos dependiendo el tipo de troquel que utilices. No se recibió en empaque original.

Brilliant machine, incredibly heavy and it is quite a size compared to the other Sizzix cutting machines. But, as with everything you get what you pay for and this is what is says, a pro machine, built for the professional. The quality of the build reflects this in every way. There is a small space for storage beneath the tray where you could easily store thinlits, or paper, for example. The tray and cutting pads move through the machine as you turn the handle. A slight push until it 'catches' is necessary sometimes, but it does glide through easily. I have Fibromyalgia and Arthritis and I can use it without any problem. As the machine is so solid and heavy, it does not move on the table when you're working which is a big bonus for me. I have a different machine made by a different manufacturer, it folds when not in use, and you open it out to use and it moves all the time when I'm using it. This became very frustrating for me because I have problems with arthritis and could not hold it steady and that was when I decided to invest in the Sizzix Big Shot PRO. There is no such problem with th Sizzix Big Shot PRO. This machine stays put, no matter what you are cutting. It will cut many different materials, paper, card, leather, tin (as in drinks cans), foam, and felt and cotton materials. I absolutely love it. It did take me a little while to get used to it, working out which combination of plate and shim to use for different dies, but what an amazing machine offering so many possibilities. Buy it if you're serious about cutting and crafting, anything from making greeting cards, to hand made quilting, bunting, toys and more. It will take every die that Sizzix has made no problem. It will save you so much time cutting. Since buying this I also bought a Sizzix Big Shot to have next to me on another desk. I put smaller items through it as needed. Why? Well, just because it suits my working pattern and is handy for those small finicky bits and pieces I need to do quickly. I have also bought some quilting dies for the Big Shot Pro and cannot wait to get stuck in and hand cut cloth for quilts, something I would never have dreamed of doing before. Safe to say the Big Shot Pro will open up a whole new world of inspiration and creativity for you. I have no hesitation in recommending it. All of Sizzix products are simply the best on the market in my opinion.

Die Big Shot Pro ist super von der Größe und stanzt hervorragend. Endlich kann ich größere Projekte basteln. Die Mini-Stanzen mache ich jedoch weiterhin hin mit der Big Shot.
