My daughter loves this doll! In my opinion it’s just as good as the American Girl brand Welly Wishers. She’s very pretty. However, this doll is a tad pricey, I wish it wasn’t because we could easily collect them all. It was a Christmas gift from Santa, otherwise I wouldn’t have purchased it, the price is simply too high :( reason for my 4 star. Otherwise I would rate 5 star.

This was a Christmas gift to my granddaughter. Her mother is a hair dresser and wears this color in her hair a lot. She is six years old and loves this doll.

My daughter absolutely loves this doll! My only complaint is the doll is very small from what I was thinking. I thought it would be similar in highly and thickness to the American girl dolls or similar but I felt it was smaller height was still good but it’s a bit thin and light. It probably won’t last very long due to this.

Great quality doll. Hard to find dolls with fun colored hair. But it doesn't change all that much. Its more of a light pink. My picture is the doll in the sun.

I really like the LuLu Be Bright doll. She's well-made, adorable, and it's super cool that she has colorful hair with a color-changing streak. I like everything about this doll.First ImpressionsLulu has silky, wavy lavender hair with two small braids pulling the top of her hair back. She has an off-white streak in her hair, which changes to pink in the sun. On my doll, the white streak is caught up in the right braid. I like how her hair looks in the braid, so I left it in, but I removed the rubber bands holding her hair in place for shipping. The lavender hair is as pretty as I had hoped, and the reason I chose this doll. Each Be Bright doll has a spirit animal that matches her personality, and Lulu's is a bunny. Each doll comes with an insert telling about the doll's spirit animal and personality. You can read their full stories on the manufacturer's website.Color Changing HairI want to go into more specific detail about the color changing hair. In the sunlight, the white streak changes to pink. It takes just a few seconds for the hair to change color, and once you go out of the sun, the color changes back within a couple of minutes. The activating factor is the UV rays from the sun, which I tested using a UV pen light. The UV pen light colors the hair in a few seconds, but because I don't keep the UV light on, the pink fades to white fairly quickly. It was a fun experiment, but playing outside in the sun is the best way to get the pink streak to stay around during playtime.Body and OutfitHer body is a slightly harder plastic than her arms, legs, and face, which have a slight bit of give to them. The Lulu has pink molded-plastic underpants matching her outfit. She wears a one-piece dress that has a light pink skirt and a sparkly pink tulle overskirt, fuschia off-the-shoulder top with ruffled cap sleeves and a printed bunny on the front, and a sewn-in white tank top. Her pink and white boots open in back to come off easily when you want, but stay on well, in the same style as the Wellie Wishers doll boots.Comparison with Wellie Wishers and Glitter GirlsThe Be Bright doll is in the same size class as the Wellie Wishers (WW) and Glitter Girls (GG) dolls. The Be Bright doll is about 1/4" taller than the other dolls. Her arms, legs, torso, and head are all a little bigger than the WW and GG dolls. Some of the clothing items from the WW and GG dolls might fit the Be Bright dolls, if they are roomy enough. A romper that I sewed from a pattern for my WW fits the Be Bright doll nicely. The skirt and shirt from my GG doll fit well also, but the GG leggings did not fit. The GG and WW dolls both fit well into the BeBright dress. A pair of generic glasses made for 14.5" dolls that I use on the WW and GG fit on the Be Bright doll, but not as well, as the Be Bright doll's head is noticeably taller and wider. Don't worry, though, the proportions are similar enough for all of the dolls to play well together and none of the dolls look out of place. The Be Bright doll's feet are definitely larger than those of either of the other two dolls. This means GG and WW shoes will not fit on the Be Bright doll, unless they are quite roomy (for example, from a sewing pattern). However, the Be Bright boots do fit on (and stay on) the WW and GG dolls' feet. Like the GG doll, the Be Bright doll has rooted hair.PackagingThe doll comes in recyclable packaging - besides the clear plastic box front, I only threw away a couple of pieces of tape and some plastic cleats that held the paper twine connecting her to the box, a nice touch. I am impressed.

The doll is cute and well made. She would be perfect if her head was more movable - as it is now, it is turned up slightly, and the only thing you can do is turn it side to side, but she cannot look straight ahead or down. It makes her face to be more empty staring than engaging and curious she can be as on the product pictures snapped at the best angles. The hair is soft, and it does turn pink in the sun, which is really cool. She has basic vinyl body with painted on underwear. She can stand or sit with splayed legs. Her arms go up and down. Clothes are well made and they do stay on, including shoes.She was really easy to remove from the package, as she was attached by paper ties twisted behind the cardboard, no scissors or knife needed, which is awesome when kids jump around excited to start playing.

My older daughter got this one for Easter. She loved the beautiful doll and it’s bunny outfit. I’m also a doll collector and I am a big fan of the dolls facial sculpt. The features are perfectly in proportion but not too realistic which can make a doll look creepy. She also has high quality brown eyes and a good face up. The big selling point however is the hair, so the strands turn pink? Yes but only when the sun is right above you. When the weather for overcast the dolls hair turned peach and in the shadows it was white. I also feel like the term “ignite the spirit animal” shouldn’t be used as these dolls are not Native American.
