This arrived quickly, and I was able to install it in less than five minutes. It works great. It has been a month and has controlled the light as the sun set, just as it should.

Recently, one of my outdoor spotlight's motion sensor died, so the light would not come on. We live in the country and without that light, it is difficult at night to navigate between the buildings. I've replaced this lights motion detector a couple of times previously, but they don't seem to last for long. The light fixture uses Par38 LED bulbs which are pretty energy efficient, so I decided to skip the motion detector and replace it with a dusk to dawn sensor. This dusk to dawn photo eye sensor threaded in perfectly to the hole previously used by the motion detector. In order for the sensor to fit into the electric box, the sensor eye had to be flush with the front of the fixture. The photo sensor's wiring is very basic, but if you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with electrical wiring - consult a professional! Don't forget to shut off the power to your fixture, prior to rewiring. The photo sensor's black wire (labelled - Line) should be connected to your power sources hot wire, the red wire (labelled - Load) connects to the light fixtures hot wires (mine were also red wires that went to each of the light fixtures bulb sockets), and finally the white wire (labelled - Neutral or Common) connects to both the light fixtures and power sources neutral wires (usually white wires). After the wiring is properly completed, be patient, it may take a minute or two for the light to turn on or off. For us, so far so good, the sensor is doing it's job, perfectly! Hopefully, it will work for years to come.

This was just the right photo electric switch. It came in just one day and worked perfectly.

Easy installation - easy exchange with the previous one which had served 12 years. Twist wire terminals and a good selection of hard and soft washers to make the fit 100%.

I worked for a while and then caused a short which triggered the breaker. It was mounted in an outdoor fixture and controlling a small LED bulb.

This device is an excellent option for someone looking for an automatic night switch for outdoor lights that dont come with any options..Wire it inline and lights come on when its dark..Nice product.

Easy to set up, works as it should - on at dusk, off at dawn. Can't speak to longevity, have only been using it for a couple of days.
