I was tired of the same old backpacking meals, and wanted to try something different. When I saw Hungarian Goulash, I thought, "That's not a flavor that Mountain House or Backpacker's Pantry is putting out." I bought one to try, and I was very impressed. The flavor was delicious, and the cooking time was reasonable. The calories are probably a tad lower than I would ideally like to see, but the calories to ounces ratio is still quite good. This is definitely a backpacking meal I will be buying again, and I can't wait to try the other Nomad Nutrition flavors.

I brought a package of the Hungarian Goulash with us on our Acadia trip just for good measure, and I'm glad I did. The town of Bar Harbor wound up being over-crowded with tourists for dinnertime, and with Covid still at large, we weren't taking any chances.Let me assure you - the quality of this meal was comparable to any restaurant in town. The flavor, the spice, the EASE of rehydrating the meal right in the bag - this product is SO impressive. As a plant-based eater, it's hard to find dehydrated meals without meat that have adequate nutrition, so this exceeded and smashed every expectation I had. My carnivorous girlfriend even loved it! This won't be my last Nomad Nutrition purchase!

I decided to give this a try on my last backpack trip and I actually really liked this and would buy it again. A little pricey, but worth it.

This was my favorite backpacking meal I had on a recent trip where we tried 4 different brands. The consistency is very smooshy, but the spice packed flavor is awesome. Definitely going to try again. Added plus was using the remaining spice in the bag to make some instant mashed potatoes.

This was pretty good. Not my fave but I'd get it again.

First packaged food I have ever had! Not bad at all!

Out of the 4 meals I had on my last backpacking trip, this was my least favorite.
