I have a split king bed and find it difficult to find single flat sheets in a size and fabric that I like. First of all, for those folks who have only known smooth silky sheets, this isn't it. It is cotton percale and they wrinkle!!!! However, if taken out of the dryer and placed on the bed the wrinkles are not felt and can be smoothed out by hand. What I have been looking for is a cotton sheet similar to the old plain cotton sheets of years past but that has extra length to keep tucked in at the bottom and still enough length to fold over the tops of your blankets, spread, comforter or whatever to protect them as well as keep shoulders covered. This sheet does this. The fabric is substantial enough to have a bit of weight to it. (I'd consider this a mid-weight fabric.) I do wash in hot water and have washed it once with no noticeable shrinkage. I can't speak to longevity because just got it today! I am hopeful. The only thing I don't like is that it does NOT have a 4 inch top hem (at least in the king size). I do believe that if you are a sewer you could probably add it but it would shorten the length by aprox 7-8 inches. I think I will probably not do that.

At last -- I found a flat sheet for our high profile king mattress! We have a pillow-top mattress with a 3" foam topper and a fluffy mattress pad. All of these extra inches shortens our top sheet considerably.Kudos to the manufacturer for thinking about all of us who like to have a top sheet securely tucked into the bottom of the mattress AND have the sheet up around our shoulders. The fabric is high quality -- thick and smooth. I'm heading off to buy a couple of more of these sheets.

I love these sheets! First, they are cut very generously. The width allows for a very large overhang on both sides of the bed, and they are plenty long enough to tuck well under the foot of my overly deep mattress at the foot of the bed - no danger of them pulling loose from active legs and feet. Second, they are a nice substantial weight and they feel like they will hold up for a very long time. They have a nice crisp finish that I adore. They really feel elegant.

After washing this sheet 3 times, I am doubting this is 100% Egyptian cotton. I have another brand's 100% Egyptian cotton sheet (unfortunately no longer in production) and it is silky smooth, cool to the touch, no wrinkles, and just feels like great quality. This sheet after 3 washes? Rough feeling, not cool, not smooth, wrinkly...I can tell it will start pilling the more I wash it. And I am stuck with it. I could not return this for a full refund. Seller states I can only get $20 back. Will not buy from this seller again.

What a joy to be able to sufficiently tuck in the bottom of this sheet. Wonderful quality too. I'm so delighted that I just ordered another. Treat yourself as well to this luxury!

I purchased this because I liked the extra width and length, compared to all other king size flat sheets I could find in department stores or online. That aspect is very good. The fabric is thick and heavy, probably very durable, but not what I expected. Ironing is a must to get it to lay flat. Would not purchase again.
