More a review of the included USB sound card than anything else
At the time of purchase, this item cost less than the price of a fast food meal. For the money you get a simple foam padded retail box containing the mic, a snap-in stand, and a USB adapter that allows the plug-in of a 3.5mm headphone and a 3.5 mm microphone device. The cord on the mic is long enough to stretch across a desk and will likely not pose any problems as long as your equipment isn't sitting across the room. The USB sound adapter is a small device with a short cord a few inches long, likely designed mostly for laptops where a longer cord would be clunky. It's rather lightweight and it feels fragile; if I stepped on it by accident I probably wouldn't place any bets on it remaining intact. Honestly speaking, this part is what I was most curious about within the whole package, and I intended to use it as a method of conveniently plugging in a spare set of earbuds for when I didn't want to have the speakers going -- the headphone jack on my ancient speaker set's wired remote and volume control causes odd volume fading issues if I touch the thing, and the PC is set down too far away for me to just conveniently plug a headset into it. I plugged the USB device into an ancient USB 2.0 hub that is connected to my desktop computer and it works fine, but after listening to the performance I'd say the device seems to be designed mostly for voice chat, and not gaming. I used the headphones that came with an old iPhone on both the front jack of the computer and then on this USB adapter and the difference is very noticeable; even when connecting directly to the front USB port (in case the USB hub was causing issues) the sounds of gunfire and explosions are tinny, muffled, and in some cases borderline painful. Listening to streams on Youtube generally sounds fine -- voices are loud and clear. One detail I noticed is that there are faintly visible, blinking red LED lights that light up within the two ports on the adapter, that can help you see where the jacks are.I also plugged the USB sound card into a laptop running bodhi Linux on a whim and the device was detected and functioned perfectly with no real effort on my part. Just confirmed audio was routed to the USB device and audio played from a Youtube video just fine. I don't really fiddle with Linux much but hey, if I ever find myself needing to, I might be able to use this thing with it.The microphone itself feels nice, the included stand is simple but feels decently well built. It doesn't have rubber feet or padding to give it the stability to keep it from sliding around the desk, which can be a bit of a problem if it moves about when trying to record with the mic. I must note that the mic does require a bit of force to snap into the stand, but once it's snapped in the whole setup feels solid and secure. The mic looks and feels fairly professional and it gives an air of being a shotgun mic, but I would not expect high-end design, durability and performance from it at this low price, and other reviews have noted as much. I used an online mic test to make sure it functioned, then played a few games with it and chatted on Discord a bit and it seems to work fine and nobody has complained about static or noise. Seems to work just fine for my -very- light use case scenario.Using Windows 10, I can click on the speaker icon on the bottom right of the screen to change where the computer outputs the sound -- thru the Realtek sound chip into my main speaker setup, thru the nVidia graphics card to push the sound into my monitor's (awful) speakers, or thru the USB audio device and into its headphone jack. Some games and the Discord app needed me to pay attention to these details, so if you are using the USB adapter in addition to your computer's sound system, you may need to fiddle with settings to get the adapter to play and record sound properly. If you're plugging the microphone's 3.5mm plug directly into your computer or laptop, you probably won't need to worry about this.Overall, I bought this microphone because it was cheap, I wanted to replace my glued together, ancient mic, and I really was interested in the USB sound device that I now use to connect headphones to. The mic works great both attached to the adapter and directly to the PC, the USB adapter works fine, and the package was very affordably priced, so it's a win from me. The only thing I am dinging it on is the sub par sound quality from the headphone/speaker jack on the USB adapter, which is not even the main focus of the item! I'm far from being an audio fanatic but I can say that if you're getting this solely for the included USB sound card to use to attach headphones or speakers to, then don't set your expectations too high. I can't really throughly review the microphone itself, since I hardly use sound input -- but it functions, looks and feels nice, so if you aren't demanding the higher quality needed for more than casual use, I would say it works fine.

Great Budget Desktop Microphone
The microphone arrived promptly and in safe, secure packaging. Everything needed to get it up and running was right there, with helpful directions included as well. The microphone truly was plug and play, and functions well both plugging directly into the 3.5 mm jack, or into the included USB adapter/headphone splitter. The microphone appears high quality. The black metal housing is sturdy and professional looking, and the base is secure and allows for a nice range of motion. It would benefit from a felt or silicone covering on the bottom, but it is not lacking without. The cord is long enough for a variety of setups to be feasible. As for sound quality, it is a surprisingly high quality microphone for the cost. It performs well even when not directly facing the subject, though it is superior when straight on. It may not compete with top of the line microphones, but at a fraction of the price it is hard to compare accurately. As for the negative, it seems that the USB microphone/headphone splitter has a boost applied to the headphone and forces the volume to be turned down in order to be at a normal volume. This is potentially user error, but it was an interesting issue to run into. That said, because this is peripheral to the microphone itself it does not greatly impact the rating.

simple easy and great for the value
I was contacted by PoP voice, to review the (PoP voice Plug and Play Metal Desktop Microphone Condenser Microphone for Computer) and give my opinion and so here is my unbiased opinion. They even told me that I can keep it after I was done testing it and so I will.On first receiving the ( PoP voice Plug and Play Metal Desktop Microphone Condenser Microphone for Computer ), that came in its original box even after requesting Amazon to send it as a gift and they did not, again this is Amazon doing not Pop voice. Aside from that the microphone it self works great with and without the external usb sound card that came with it. My Windows 10 pc recognized the external usb card with no problems and the sound was good and clear. I also tried it with my Tascam Mini studio US - 42 and it also works great, I also used it on my Android phone with ( Headphone Microphone Splitter, Mic and Audio Splitter TRRS Adapter 3.5mm, Male to 2 Female Headphone Mic Audio Y Splitter ) and with no complains it worked really good and everyone says that the sound quality is nice and clear. The build quality is good, the mic it self is made of thin metal, the cable is 6‘ long and thick, able to reach any computer setup, the base is made of plastic with some weight to it. But it is light and easy to cary around if needed. The bottom of the base is made of plastic as well with no rubber pad or sound transfer prevention of any sort. Any movement on a hard surface and will transfer a lot of noise to the mic. ( I made a circular cut out from the shipping foam and glued it to the base and it did the trick ) also keeps it from slipping. As for the usb sound card noise canceling it is good, it surely dose the job.Over all it is a nice slick design that can be used in many ways. I plan to use it with my Tascam mini studio and my phone with the Mic and Audio Splitter TRRS Adapter 3.5mm, so I can add a phone call to my broadcast and talk to the person with no echo or noice interference.Suggestions: Add a rubber mat at the bottom of the mic stand to prevent noise transfer. Include a Mic and Audio Splitter TRRS Adapter 3.5mm to use with Android devices.

Great product!
I got this mic on February 2020 for my daughter's virtual classes. It works perfectly, the sound quality is impeccable 👌. I got it for $13.00 CAD at the time, couldn't find anything better for that price Nd after a few months I saw the price sky rocketed to over $80.00 CAD. I WAS SHOCKED!! To me it was a great value for money spent. It is still working perfectly. Love it!

Great for the money.
Can you find better? Yes. For cheaper? Good luck.Works great, looks sharp on the desk, and my friends have stopped complaining about my bad mic. Everything has a sturdy build quality, the mic body is metal and the base is good plastic. I think there is a weight in the base, it holds the mic fine wherever you put it.

Great microphone for great price
Amazing product for the price. I've been using this microphone now for a few weeks and I love it. The sou d quality is great. It's very clear with absolutely no distortion. I use it on a boom above my head and with it about 1 ft away from me I am able to be heard very clearly even if I whisper. I would smdefinutely recommend this microphone to others, especially if you are using it for zoom meetings or YouTube videos.
