Cole Hersee(5582-10-BX) PVC Coated SPST On-Off Toggle Switch

I wound up buying two of these because i thought the first my be defective. The issue seem to be at the solder points that are underneath the waterproofing. I say seem, because I have not removed the waterproofing to see what the issue could be. In my experience with both of these switches, any bending at the base of the switch where the wires meet the contacts, will cause the circuit to open (turn off) even though the throw switch may be set to closed (turned on).I learned of this issue with my purchase too late as they were already installed. I reworked the cabling so that the wires are protected from flexing or moving that takes place in normal use in my autonomous buoy.The switches have been working fine since then.

Cole Hersee is the industry standard when looking for low voltage electrical components.

Seems fairly well sealed. Time will tell.I am happy with the quality.

These switches are great I have been using for several years on atv's in mud water rain etc. not a bit of problems. Worth the extra money!
