B6-N2 Jill Attack Bomber 1/48 Hasegawa

Well done model of this Japanese WWII aircraft.

Typical Hasegawa kit- crisp, flash-free molding, excellent detail, decals printed cleanly with vibrant color. Only gripe is that the canopy is a single piece instead of sliding sections. Otherwise, a great addition to an IJN collection. The kit came in a brand-new box, all parts bagged, but it wasn't sealed in plastic- a fact which concerned me until I got it open and saw it was all there.I ordered it in November 27 and it said it would arrive between December 24 and January 20, but it arrived Dec 15- so shipping isn't as long as the website indicates.

Kit didn't disappoint, parts are well formed and fit. No "seated" pilot figure though.

The 'Jill' is a great representation of the mid-war production of Japanese Imperial torpedo bombers. The Jill had a limited service life as a torpedo platform with few successful attacks and many losses. A grew of three makes the Jill comparable to the US Avenger and similar torpedo planes of WWII. The Hasegawa model is a great example of the B-6N as it appeared in 1944/45 and has a cool torpedo too.Recommended for intermediate modelers but anyone can try.

The Jill Torpedo Bomber is an excellent kit. I'm sure it will be fun to build. The 1/48 scale allows many details to be included in the model. A great kit!
