Read review for issues I’ve experienced.
Picture attached is plant I removed with aphids and eggs.I planted different leaf lettuce rows, carrots and onions in the medium size Vegepod. In less than three months I’ve had great growth from my plants. However there are some issues I have with this product which is very disappointing for the price. The first problem I encountered was green moss spontaneously growing which was off putting. I quickly corrected this by sprinkling cinnamon all over the soil. The second issue I encountered were two-inch sized grasshoppers getting in through the hole that is meant for the hose. Yes the hose was feed through the hole. I “fixed” this by using duct tape to cover the exposed hole.My third issue was finding slugs and aphids on my lettuce that had grown to over a foot tall. This infestation was on the size where the hose hole was. So perhaps they were in before I taped the hole. However, the lid to the vegepod does not completely touch the base of the vegepod so it’s also probable that these insects and slugs got in from that gap as well. Also I realize aphids are supper tiny and could also fit through the mesh of the vegepod.I am disappointed since this was the reason I purchased this item, however I have had great lettuce besides these issues for the first time.I may plant other items in this vegepod in the future to see how well they do against pests. In the meantime I have pulled the plants heavily infested and continue to spray the rest of my plants with an epsom salt water mix.I will update my review in the future if there are drastic positives or negatives that come up.As for assembly, it does take a while. I had to look up how to videos on YouTube bc the directions were really no help.Very sturdy and easy to move on the rollers.

Nice kit, but misleading marketing
Important things to note:Legs shown in numerous product images here are NOT included in the base price. I went ahead and ordered them as I already had finished assembly of the product by the time I realized it didn't include parts for the legs. It IS nice and sturdy feeling with the legs assembled and in place. The cover for the unit could be much better attached, I'm worried if it will remain in place during strong mid-west winds. Seems like a fairly easy fix and I'll probably find a "farmer rigged" solution to this. All that said, I think this thing will last me a fairly long time, and since I ordered the largest version it is a HUGE amount of space for a standalone raised garden bed like this, very deep as well (I used 16 cubic feet of potting soil mix and it was exactly the right amount).I have yet to use the misting system as I couldn't get my sprayer head unattached from my hose. Will update this review in a year or so with long term insights. I think it could be a really great product with a few tweaks, and they REALLY need to make it crystal clear that it does NOT come with the legs shown in the photos!

Prerequisite Required: IKEA Kitchen Assembly 101!
I bought the Vegepod and stand to grow my lettuces and keep them safe from all my furry friends. They are ready and waiting in pots anticipating their new home!I assembled this product today and filled it with dirt and have to say that I have no confidence in the canopy of this product. The clips that are supposed to have a lip that fastens to stretch to the opposite end simply do not reach. They do not hold. I bought a size small and received four clips to hold thecanopy. This would never be enough to stop this thing from taking off in the wind as I am anticipating. When I open the canopy the clips pop out. I put 2 in the back and 2 in the front as the videos suggested. I watched the 2 Australian dudes several many times through each step so I finally did get it together and filled. Only to find the canopy clips slip out and the thing falls off. The canopy is thereason I bought the product in the first place.I have assembled a complete IKEA kitchen from flat boxes. I mean, the big ones. The tall pantry cabinet, the double oven cabinet, the corner cabinet with the lazy Susan, etc., every single one being a different cabinet. It was all child’s play compared to assembling this product.I got the basic stand. Also, thanks a whole lot for making the basic stand black with blacker holes! (I will say both the stand and many-pieced pod are quality and solid.)5 1/2 hours with a lunch break to assemble. I would return this item but I could not possibly do so with the time and strength it requires. I gave up on the pipe connection. I got it in with the handy boiling water tip. But I could not refit the pipe clamp once I opened it to put it in place. I do not have the finger strength to squeeze it hard enough with one hand while cranking the flange with the other (and I am a pianist with strong fingers!)Can I get more clips? Does anyone know who I can ask? I will try to get a male friend with really strong hands to try to get these things attached according to the video. Do these clips work for anyone else? Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.update: My friend was able to secure the clips that hold the canopy. He tried different slots and luckily (and only) 2 other slots accommodated the clips. Be aware you may not be able to utilize the slots of your choice. Except for the hose/sprinkler it is now pretty nice. My lettuces are really growing.

Great bed!
Happy with my vegepod. Easy enough to put together. Filled as instructed- recommend you purchase perlite or vermiculite in advance so you can fill when your pod arrives. Medium pod needed - 50l of manure, 50l or perlite and 125 of soil roughly there are instructions on the vegepod website and videos for construction. You can easily put together on your own. Very sturdy and sprinkler works incredibly well. Delivery was personal from a Vegepod rep who explained things and gave a free cold cover for long delivery time (was within time given by Amazon estimate- just took awhile due to international shipping and COVID crisis). Was a nice touch they gave the cover though and they were really responsive answering queries. Overall really pleased with the purchase. Note, quite heavy when filled but still easily rolled on wheels.

Great veg bed
Having moved to a smaller garden, but still wanting to grow some veg we were looking at pods and eventually came across this. It's fantastic. It sits in a corner of the patio getting the sun and no back breaking bending down to tend it. We bought the stand on wheels so we can move it about (thoroughly recommend the stand with the wheels). The instructions are so-so but log on to the video instructions and they are so funny ! Two guys in Australia giving you step by step instructions in about1 minute segments. Thoroughly recommend this produce as it looks good, the cover protects against frost and birds and it only needs watering weekly so if we go away we are not trying to get people in to water the beds! It is great

Great unit.
I bought this as a gift and the recipient absolutely loves it. It was easy to put together and has produced some wonderful salad crops in only six weeks. The whole idea is clever. I bought the stand to raise the Vegepod off the ground and the stand is sturdy and a good height. The cover is not at all flimsy, and the watering system works really well. It’s a great unit that prevents having to bend but gives a good sized growing area with a variety of depths. It is deep enough in the centre for carrots. All the produce grown so far has been pest and bug free too. This isn’t a cheap unit, but it is well made and should last a long time.

Good for small crop growing.
In my case, this is instead of gardening space, which I don't have. Therefore, when things grow well, there is the problem of thinning and transferring. Next year, I shall concentrate on smaller crops, such as herbs. The other problem, which was not entirely the fault of the manufacturer, is that during the high winds the lid flew off several times, even though firmly fastened, and during this, the top bent and would no longer fit in the clips; some of which slid off.But it has worked well and given me a lot of pleasure and the opportunity to grow things.

Bought second one - they are so good!
This is the second one I have ordered because I am staggered (as a complete novice) how fast my salad veggies have grown from tiny seeds in just a matter of weeks!! This pod is perfect - the only problem - I ran out of space! At this time of pandemic, I ordered it and got a message it would arrive in 1-2 weeks (pretty standard). To my complete surprise, less than 48 hours later, it was delivered!! Bravo!! Thank you so much. The base is very heavy hence 3 stars for easy to assemble, it's difficult to lift but once it is erected, it's not going to move about anywhere.
