I purchased two of these reels for catfishing. Price point for this reel is great also no issues as of yet and I use these reels 2 or 3 times a week. HEAVY USE

I bought one of these reels back in Sept 2017. I did not have a lot of experience with this style reel, having grown up using a classic Zebco 202 Spincast reel an then graduating up to Okuma brand spinning reels for Surf Fishing in Emerald Isle NC, with a long break in-between. This is my 6th year Surf Fishing and this year I decided to use my Okuma Bait Caster and see what happens, after a couple of years messing around with experimenting with Mono Line, and then Braided line, which we all switched over to 3 years ago. For some reason this reel works better with Mono line, and I used 25lb Trilene and had zero tangles/wind-knots/birds-nests and breakage during two weeks of heavy fishing. Last day fishing I pulled in some medium sized Pompano and the above pictured 21 inch long Black Drum which this reel had no issues bringing in. I paired the reel with a 10 foot long Cabela's brand two piece Eagle Series bait casting rod, which handled fishing duties with zero issues, to include the occasional Ray which tend to put up a heck of a fight. I will be ordering more of these reels after my most recent trip and the excellent performance it provided. For the record, it will hold a heck of a lot of 25lb mono line. When I did use braided line , i used 30lb line.

Overall it's a great reel for the money only downfall is just having to fool with the release so much

All the reels I order broke the same day I use it I open one to check what was the problem I found no grease in them and the brake plate broken total garbage

Good little reel with a lot to offer

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my husband and he loved it! He immediately put it on his fishing rod and couldn't stop smiling and saying how he couldn't wait to catch some fish ^_^ idk anything about these kind of things but if my husband approves it's got to be good lol

Heavy duty reel. Will crank in big fish with ease. Smooth drag and easy casting with this reel. Would recommend.
