These grow lights do wonders for my plants. My apartment has no direct sunlight so most of my plants have just been muddling along. But after just a couple of days under these LEDs their foliage is greener and they’re sprouting new leafs right and left. One thing to note is that the light is (supposedly) optimized for what plants want, not humans. The red and blue LEDs don’t provide anything close to a white light, so in another otherwise darker placement, the light doesn’t really show off the plants that well. The green leaves reflect very little of the light which makes it more efficient, but is something to be aware of from an aesthetics perspective.I have a similar unit with long LED stalks instead of these round ones. This unit seem to throw of less overall light and in a smaller area than the stalks, but accordingly it fits in a smaller spot. I think eventually I will try to get these in a bookcase and will fit much better there.Beyond the light provided, I am not super thrilled with this unit in particular. There is a small module inline with the power cable to control it. What I primarily don’t like is that I can’t use my own outlet timer to control it, the lamp doesn’t remember it’s previous state when you unplug it. There is a built-in timer which allows you to set the lamp to turn off in 3, 6, or 12 hours, but no way to turn it back on again without pressing the switch. Also, the first time you press the switch it turns on one of the LED lamps, the second time it turns the first off and turn on the other, and the third press turns them both on. You need to do that every time you use it. On the other hand, it has five brightness settings which you can cycle through with another button. That settings is remembered when it is turned on and off.The clamp to hold the lamp on opens wide enough to be useful on any surface I think I’d use it on and the spring is strong enough to hold it in place. The power cable is about 6’ total with the switch located a bit over a foot from the lamp. This is a bit short for my taste and I need an extension cord to make it useful. I measured a single lamp drawing about 5 watts and both together drawing about 8 watts.

The reason ibought this was for my rare ponytail opuntia cactus. Its a type of cactus that has odd wisps of hair rather than needles. The bad news is that it has no cold tolerance at all and will wilt (but not die readily) without light. I have used this item over the winter and it has helped quite a bit and my cold intolerant cactus has grown dozens if pads even over winter.

Great lamp for inside plants, has a clamp so you can hang it anywhere and has a timer you can set. I like it cause you can set the light brighter if needed. I would buy again

I've been needing to purchase a memory card reader for awhile now, but have been putting the purchase off because it seemed just as easy to plug my camera up to the computer directly. When I got ready to purchase a new SD card recently, I also got a suggestion to purchase this card reader from Plugable Technologies. The price was right, almost TOO right. I thought, "What the heck, it's only $7.95, so if it turns out to be kind of junky, I'm not out very much." Boy, was I surprised when I got the reader. It's hard to describe exactly, but when you hold the thing in your hand, it just "feels" solidly constructed, you know what I mean? I especially like how it enables you to read Micro SD cards without having to plug the card into a larger SD adapter first. I also like the shorter cord as well, which is perfect for connecting to a laptop; if you're going to plug it into a USB port on the front of your PC tower unit, it's just going to hang there, but that's okay, too, because the reader is really designed to be used "on the fly" and not as a permanent fixture. All in all, a great reader for the price and one I definitely recommend for your PC toolkit!

It's perfect. When you buy something online it's hard to tell if you're gonna get a cheaply made low quality item, but that isn't the case with this item! It's good quality and works perfectly, I couldn't be more pleased.
