Smooth, great casting reel .
I purchased this reel a couple of weeks ago. I was really impressed by the smoothness of the reel while casting it. It is definitely a worthwhile purchase in my opinion. The only drawback that I could find when comparing it to some of my other more expensive reels was that I found the handle had a little wobbliness in it. Not a big thing and i am sure that it can be shimmed up. Would I recommend someone purchasing this reel over a Diawa or a Shimano . The answer is hell ya. It is more than worth it.

Reliable and strong but some catches
This reel has caught me over a dozen muskellunge. I would rate it as reliable as a Tranx but at approximately 1/4 the price. This reel has powerful drag and a great retrieve. I’ve purchased two 300 sized with single handles, left handed. Cons: - the handle will come loose due to the glue on the plastic screw going bad. This is fixable if you can confidently use glue. Worst case scenario, you buy a new handle. That being said, Big Con (why it’s 4 and not 5 stars): - The handle not being counter balanced has led me to bounce some super heavy lures off of the boat potentially causing damage. Bottom line: buy this reel and buy a counter balanced handle. You’ll still be nearly $200 less poor than if you bought the name brand.

Finally, a solid budget musky baitcaster!
I purchased the reel from Amazon after months of self debate. I spent hours researching baitcasters that would stand up to the demands of my musky fishing needs. I fish alot of rivers in PA that have bottom snags and that also places higher demand on all of my equipment. I pulled the trigger on the Piscifun Alijoz 300 because of aluminum frame, duel worm shaft stabilizer bars, magnetic braking, 33 lb drag, and abundance of reel space for line. I usually run 65lb. Power Pro. I opened the box and immediately reoiled and greased all parts (simple maintenance). I placed the reel on a Berry Pro medium heavy 10ft rod. After placing new line on the reel I took it to the Alleghney River casting from shore. It met the demands of all sized baits, large rubber bulldogs and Medussas, bucktails, jerk, twitch, dive and rise baits, etc. Very smooth line release, quiet retrieve and I love the weight and balace of the reel on the 10' rod plus the feel in my hand. To summerize: I fish several times a week. Only time will tell if this reel will hold up to my demands. I paid $100 for this tool. I could have spent $400 on a Shimano Tranx or Diawa Lexa. If this lasts 2 or 3 years the way I fish I think it's a no Brainer to purchase. UPDATE: After fishing with this for over a year now, it has been fantastic in all of aspects. Just keep it cleaned and oiled and it should last a lifetime.

Works for king salmon
I wanted to go jigging for king salmon during the fall run and wanted a reel that would provide good torque to reel them in and good drag to keep them in control. Jigging on the flooded river mouth lakes in Michigan is a popular activity, with there being dozens and dozens of boats on the water at a time. Because of that, if you cannot control the fish and keep them from doing long runs, you risk getting tangled in other people's lines - an event that is not pleasant for anyone involved. This reel did the trick and allowed me to reel in several fish quickly and efficiently. Very pleased with the heavy drag to control big fish.

Punches above its weight
Handles like a reel 200-300 dollars more expensive

Not bad!
I ordered this off of the reviews and honestly didn’t expect much. Took it out of the box and it really looked better than I expected. I immediately disassembled and lubricate the bearings and gears. Mounted it on a medium heavy action musky rod and it casts great. Very adjustable. Fits my hand nicely. Drag seems smooth but I haven’t tested it on a fish yet. Time will tell, but seems to be a winner for the price!
