I bought these expecting to attach the carabiner hook to a screen curtain that would stay closed when the magnet end was attached to the metal balcony railing. So the carabiner would be permanently attached to the screen and would attach and re-attach at the magnet end. These magnets are so strong, they are difficult to remove from the metal. They will definitely not blow away or move in a strong wind. The carabiner is a little small to have to fasten and unfasten frequently. For my purpose, I will need something with weaker magnets. But if you're looking for a super strong magnet, this is your magnet.

I purchased these to hold up hanging pockets for students’ cell phones on a magnetic chalkboard. At maximum there are 27 cell phones in the pockets at a time. These magnets held fast, not budging the entire 2022-2023 school year.

Bought these to use on tarps and was shocked at how powerful the magnets were. Actually used them to anchor tarps to a conex with no other supports and these magnets held it in place in high winds. I just bought 2 more packs.These can be hard to remove as they are so strong so just be aware of that.
