Why should I have a TSA lock?Transportation Security Administration is the full name for TSA.Luggage locks accepted by the TSA have universal keys that will open the locks. These locks use the TSA Lock system developed by Travel Sentry. Under agreement with the TSA it is Travel Sentry that sets the standards for these locks and approves each design. Every lock with the Travel Sentry identifying mark (red diamond) is accepted by the TSA and may be opened by the TSA using their master keys, or by anyone in possession of a jiggler. Some TSA accepted luggage locks feature an indicator which will appear red if opened by a master key. After opening, TSA Agents will never leave your bags unlocked after inspections, because they can’t remove the key without lock your luggage up. So You Can Keep Belongings Safe After TSA inspection! How to set my combination?1.Turn the dials and align the numbers to 0-0-0, then the lock is open.2.Push the reset button with a pen ( or other tools) all the way until completely turning the dials to your own combination. (Do not let go of the reset button while setting the dials)Release the reset button after changing to your own combination. Your lock is now ready to open at its new combination. What can I do if I forget the combination? No need to be anxious! There is a preset code (000) that can be changed, rotate the lock. Then , retry the process of and your own code will be reset. Caution: Not suitable for children under 3 years old.

I hope TSA let me keep these ones.
While TSA inspectors are very hard on my toolbox, and padlocks, these units have proven up to the challenge........They have about 25,000 miles on them now, across more than one country, and have only a single scrape to show for it.That's good!TSA inspectors are extremely good at opening toolcases, pulling things out for inspection, and turning on flashlights. Turning the flashlights off, putting everything back in the right spot, correctly closing the case, and refitting the padlocks, is not really their forte, though.I frequently have to replace padlocks that are on my case when I check it in, but are gone when I arrive. No-one but TSA has any reason to open the locks, but somehow it is never their responsibility when I question where things went.I like these locks, and hope I get to keep them for a while.........but I do have replacements ready, already.

Lightweight - not armored enough for checked baggage
Ordered two of these for the color. I thought it would help to easily identify against other luggage in baggage claim... and perfect to match my other Texas Longhorns tags on my travel bags :)I was a bit worried when I realized this was made of plastic, but I'm not one to judge a book by its cover. The first one saw action securing my mid-sized luggage on a business trip home from Buffalo. Once I grabbed my suitcase from the baggage claim, I noticed that the orange ring around the lock was horribly mangled to the point of utter disrepair. Furthermore, the cable was pretty bent beyond straight --- something I'd expect to be pretty tough considering it's the main fastening device. The body and lock were intact.Needless to say, this one's a goner. The other one is going to remain a carry-on lock.As opposed to the Master lock of the same type on my carry-on, which dons many a war scar and protected my luggage through several flights, this one is definitely not engineered to be a tank. This lock reat looks... but really more of a bouncer than an armed guard.

Great value. Appears to be high quality and its very easy to set the combination. I also love how you can close the lock with the combination still entered, so all you have to do is push the release button on the side. I received two when I thought I was just getting one, so that was a nice surprise. Purchased for an upcoming trip, and now I'm not checking a bag, but will probably take it along just in case.

Liked it so much I bought 2 more!
I have traveled previous without a TSA approved locked. Needless to say the lock was cut and I lost out on $7. So when I looked for a new travel lock I was excited to find a TSA approved lock for under $5. The combo is easy to set and I made it to my destentation and back with the lock intact. I liked it so much I bought two for a gift.

I really liked the product and color
I really liked the product and color. However, fromMy understanding I was to recover 2 locks, and I only received one inside the box. The box the lock came in was tampered with and I'm going to guess that's why it arrived with only one lock inside. There was no way to contact the seller to try to fix the problem (since I really just wanted the second lock) so unfortunately, I had to return my item. Otherwise, it seemed like a great product for the price.

The lock is great but the instructions could be clearer
The lock is great but the instructions could be clearer. For instance, it is not immediately clear how to get the lock to open after lining up the correct code which would be to press the side button.

Easy to use
Easy to use, was a little weary regarding quality but these have done several international flights/multiple connections on the outside of a duffel bag and have held up. Would recommend

STOP THEIF! Probably.
We're flying to the USA later this year and wanted some TSA approved locks for our suitcases. These fit the bill. They're easy to use, smart looking locks. The wire harness means it will work for a whole manner of items to lock and secure. Like any small lock, they won't foil the most determined crook but for the opportunist thief I think these will be just fine. Overall very happy with these and would recommend.

Useful.
I ordered these to use for hand luggage and they were perfect. Also used them for my ru7cksack when travelling around on public transport in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. Perfect size, sturdy and quick to open and close. Arrived promptly too. Perfect.

Gr8 locks, very strong. saves your case locks getting busted open by customs (mine have been opened twice, I know becauseI always arrange the lock cable in a certain way)
