First try was pretty successful! I made a lot of newbie mistakes, but this stuff allowed me a lot of time before it set, and it was also very forgiving when I got the bead too wet, I was still able to use it! Did not have to waste product. Thanks to MANY tutorials, I was even kinda successful at building a little apex on my nails. I made them rather thin as far as acrylic goes, but so far this have proven to be very strong.I would have given this product 5 stars but the smell is overwhelmingly strong. I ended up wearing a respirator mask (the kind used for spray painting etc.)

This is my first time trying acrylic nails. I'm not sure if I just need to get better, or if it's this product, but I can't really get it to "bead" right, and it seems like a very wet product. The FINAL result after redoing and building and over structuring and basically destroying 2 brushes in one use(VERY cheap brushes, that's probably the issue) and it took several hours (over a weekend) to hand file the acrylic down, it looked okay bare. Looked horrible if I painted it though. The amount of the powder is A LOT, a good 20 sets of nails could be done, the amount of monomer you get comparatively though is very small, I got through 4 nail sets now I don't have enough to do another set yet. Great price though for DIY acrylic nails though. Will purchase mia secret again, other products in this brand work really well. OH, the natural balance pink is basically clear. It's clear, just not crystal clear. If you're looking for a more pinker product, don't get this kind.

Excellent for beginners like myself. Performing as if I was a pro.

This was my 1st time ordering/using monomer & powder. I'm not a nail tech, I just enjoy doing nails and figured I'd give this a try. I had gotten an acrylic overlay done on my natural nails a few weeks ago & needed a fill in. After watching numerous "do it yourself" videos on YouTube I was confident I could do this & ordered this combo (you'll also need dehydrator & bonding liquid). The monomer smell is toxic so wear a mask! I ordered a #8 brush which was recommended but I found it a bit big for me (as a beginner). However, the results were amazing. I have an electric drill, but I found a nail file worked just as well if not better. Then buff for a flawless finish. The stuff dries fast so you'll feel the pressure to work quickly. Just make sure you watch how-to videos. I'll definitely be ordering these products again. They were packaged well & delivered on time.

Awesome for beginners or intermediate nail techs. I still use this when I want just that classic acrylic color. Only thing (obviously) have a good brush to pick up the bead of acrylic and practice making an acrylic bead. Good set.

i just did my first set and this acrylic and monomer are definitely good for beginners. easy to use. only problem is- it’s not pink at all

The media could not be loaded.  I think these products and all of mia secrets products are amazing. This monomer is a little strong to the smell but has no MAA which is great. Both are easy to use and gives you enough time to play with before drying.
