Crown 5 inch Cake Pan, 3" Deep, Extra Sturdy, Fully Straight Sides, Even-Heating, Made in Canada

** ALERT ** Non-returnable! I purchased two pans and both have some black goo wiping off on my washcloth while trying to dry them. I soaked in hot soapy water several times, tried vinegar, etc. and still getting whatever this black junk is (I have Wilton & a few baking pieces from Macy’s that I’ve never had this issue). I’m not going to bake in them due to I seriously doubt that’s a healthy ingredient! Didn’t see anything that said non-returnable when I purchased and now I’m out $30 because they won’t take back their junk! I’m going to contact my bank and see if I can dispute with them but don’t waste your money on these. Purchase from another reputable company that backs their products.

This pan was used once to make a cheesecake. It now has permanent marks. I had high hopes for this pan and it ruined my cake with a black ring on the bottom that has also stayed on the pan. The marks on the outside are prints of the paper towel it was sitting on in a larger pan fill with water. These marks will not come off no matter how I wash. I can't recommend this brand with such delicate pans. Disappointed.

My wife bought 3 of these after reading the description and "Made in Canada" .Turned out to be thin Aluminium pans and realized that these are not returnable.Now we are stuck with crappy pans. Learnt my lesson, when on Amazon, be very very alert.

I bought this cake pan for my sister and brother-in-law, who are avid cooks/bakers. Each time they use the pan, they tell me what a difference there is between the quality of the pans they used to buy and the pans from Crown, which are lovingly made in Canada. They wanted to replace their old pans with pans that were made anywhere but China. They were surprised that the pans actually made a difference in the end product. They're well made and more substantial than any other pans they've used, which equates to even heat. Yes, you can find pans that are a little less expensive, but they pale by comparison to these pans. Regardless of the amount of baking or cooking you do, you'll be glad you bought a pan from Crown.

Great quality pans are hard to find. Pans not made in china are even harder to find and this one is both. I stumbled across this brand while looking for this size of a pan not made in China. This brand will be my go to. Easy to care for and I know it has met health standards that Canada has in place, which are often better than those in the U.S. it works so well, I could throw my other pans out!

I am very pleased with the quality of this pan. I needed a 9x3 inch cake pan for my son's birthday Jiggly Japanese Cheesecake. Upon opening, I could immediately see and feel that this was a higher quality pan than I have used in the past. The cake baked perfectly and the pan was really easy to clean. I do believe the cake turned out better than it did the previous 3 years I've baked it as well.I was so happy with this pan I ordered 2 more small cake pans and plan to purchase more. I am sure I will get many years of use out of them. I typically buy cheapo pans at the grocery store when needed and toss them shortly after as it seems they always need to be soaked and then rust after. I do not see that happening with this pan. This has sort of an heirloom feel to it, like a pan that will last a very long time. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice sturdy pan for baking!

I received my pan quickly and in time to use it for a special dinner. I was wanting to bake something that called for a round deep pan which I couldn't find anywhere. Thankfully I saw this and it arrived quickly! It's just perfect!

UPDATE 2019-12-02:Changed back to 5 star because the seller sent me two new cake pans in good condition! I also upload new photos, they are perfect round, not oval anymore!============ old review =========I wish I could return this but the policy not allowed for food container even if I did not open the package!This is not a round pan, apparently was pressed or squeezed to oval. Probably not apparent in the photo, but it is in real world.Who wants a oval cake?!

As other reviewer said, this pan is very easy to get scratched, also wash with water won't clean the industrial oil that was put on during production. MAKE SURE you WIPE it hard with oil, then you will see the gray dark grease comes out of it. NOT a proud made in Canada product.

I ordered a couple different sizes for an upcoming cake I had planned and was pleasantly surprised by the heavy quality of these pans!As with all aluminum bake ware, you need to prepare your pans accordingly so your baking does not stick.My cakes baked up beautifully and released from the pans without issue. I love that they're made right here in Canada! I have added more pans to my wish list and am excited to see what else I will create with them. Having the right bake ware is so important and Crown is my new favourite bake ware company!

Just received the cake pan and noticed there’s a scratch on the bottom. Haven’t tested it out yet, but disappointed to receive a damage item!The manufacturer got in touch after reading my initial review and have offered to send a new one to me. The new cake pan was in perfect condition and it was also working well too. Really appreciate the excellent customer service provided by them and I would recommend this product!

I loved this product. I used it to bake Christmas fruit cake. It was the right size as I am getting ready to sell my cakes for Christmas. It should have been a little more thicker. I was a little disappointed as it arrived 2 days late and I had a deadline for an order. Christmas cakes can be made well in advance if infused with rum. Overall the pans were great and I'm intending to buy a few more soon. The BEST thing is that it is a CANADIAN product. Little expensive compared to other brands, but worth it being Canadian. We must have more Canadian companies, more Canadian jobs and so more Canadian SMILES.

I like the depths of this pan. But I was really, really disappointed about the quality, especially since this is Made in Canada. Look at the many scratchs and black residues with the new pan. I washed it once and used a regular scrub sponge trying to wash the residues off. It turned out it was very easily scratched. (I used the same thing to wash my Wilton pan for almost a year. It didn't leave any scratchs at all, not even a small one).
