Best design I've found yet, comes with water measure cup
I own three different microwave poached egg cookers, 2 of this design and one nordic ware that's a few years old. The nordic works ok but has an annoying tendency that the lid pops open during cook which tends to create a mess in the microwave. Most microwave products recommend that you break the egg yolk before cooking but this model does not suggest breaking the yolks which is one reason I think it works better. Very simple to use. 1-put cold water in each cup (50ml measure included but it's about half of the cup volume), 2-crack the egg (unit has a little ridge on it just to whack the egg on to crack it), 3-Put on cover and cook. Cook time can vary by microwave, instructions are 90 seconds for an 800w microwave, most kitchen microwaves are a thousand watts these days so start at 70-75 seconds till you find the perfect time for your oven. If only cooking one egg, be sure you put water in the other section. If you wanted to you could put a bit of seasoning in the water or just wait till it's cooked to add seasonings. This unit is hefty enough that when it's done cooking it won't be blazing hot so you can easily lift it out of the microwave. If you wanted to make multiples you could use more than one unit at the same time (I frequently cook four eggs at once, adding about 35 seconds for the second unit) depending on your oven you may want to add a little more time my microwave has a turntable some don't, it can affect cook time. Very satisfied with this unit may even add a third one for those rare times I have guests or just hanker for a bunch of eggs. You can cook from runny poached to hard boiled very easily and since you remove the shell before cooking no more picking bits of shell off your breakfast before you can eat it. Egg comes out of the water easily because the cups come out of the cooker and drain it after cooking. Cleaning just takes a second by hand or top shelf dishwasher should be fine (it's rather thick plastic). Comment: Just wanted to comment that "for whatever reason" this thing seems to work a lot better with extra large eggs than just large. The two cups cook to the same doneness instead of one coming out noticeably less cooked (i.e. runny). No clue what might cause this phenomena.

GREAT PRODUCT
I LOVE this egg poacher! Easy to use and clean. I accidently put 2 eggs in the same side one day and thought I'd try this because if you put them in their respective cups - one always turns out more done than the other. So now, they are pretty much the same consistency if you double up. I've learned to use about 1/2 of the recommended water and trying another thing: to put the eggs in the container and let it set for 1/2 hour before microwaving. Poached eggs are perfect on some cut up pieces of toast for a great protein breakfast.

Plus Side : Relatively-good poaching results Minus Side : Excessive quantity of residue
Generally satisfactory poached eggs result, following heating the covered poacher in the microwave (on high) for approximately 58 seconds. But : Afterwards, a fair amount of time is required towards thoroughly clearing all the (egg-white) residue present within both the bottom segments which hold the (two) cups and in-between each open slot surrounding the egg-holders fitted inside both cups.

Barely adequate, keep looking
I love soft-boiled/poached eggs. I hate making them. I need to make two at once which is not possible using the swirl and drop into boiling water technique. This device was recommended to me. It has two compartments, great. My microwave is 1100 watts and the recommended time was 60-70 seconds. I set it for 30 seconds for one large egg as a test. The yolk was semi-cooked/semi-runny and half the white had leaked through the large slots of the "sieve" into the lower compartment and was not recoverable. Nothing stuck to the plastic so it was easy to clean but I didn't get much egg out of it.

Could be much better...
Wow, talk about suck!! This piece of plastic is a complete waste of time & $$$ UNLESS YOU WISH TO COOK HARD BOILED EGGS!! No joke - we have a lousy 900 watt microwave, its SO weak, I call it our "easy-bake microwave" ok? I buy this to POACH eggs, I follow the instructions -2 minutes for attempt #1- tho no explosion until out of microwave, both eggs had hard boiled yolks so, I cut the time - jeez! I used 10 eggs adjusting the cooking time each & every attempt - all I got were hard yolks. Look at the sellers "how to" video & pay close attention to the end when they show ya the "payoff" - a perfectly poached egg? NO! Even in their video the end product has a mostly hard yolk- NOT like a true poached egg. Now if hard boiled is your thing, by all means BUY THIS!!

Terrific microwave poacher!
This is a great appliance! It takes a little practice to get the timing right but the results are amazing! I highly recommend this product for those who are looking to eat healthier. Tip - if using jumbo eggs, use half the recommended water amount and cook for 65 seconds to start for lower wattage ovens. If not done to preferred doneness, add five second increments to complete cooking.

The overall design is focused on safety and the seller’s - descriptive images on how to use this product correctly from beginning – to - end couldn’t be clearer.
