Feels solid - looks sharp?
Felt like a high quality lock by its heft. Finish was smooth and uniform. Smooth operation.Size was a little small for my bike. I could lock the rear wheel to the frame but there wasn't enough room to lock to a rack or post as well. Good value otherwise.

good size to use with chain
We use this lock to secure a 9mm link chain to our car or trailer hitch so that our ebikes are secure. It locks and unlocks easily. The rubber coating is nice but it makes it harder to get the shackle through the chain. I like that it has three keys so that we can keep one in each car and one at home. Seems to be a very sturdy lock but only time will tell if it is ever cut.

Very strong lock.
Just the right size to lock the frame and the front wheel to a parking lot sign pole. At the same time, small enough to make it difficult to pry open with a bottle jack. Rubber coating protects the finish on the bike.

Multiple use lock
This simple lock can be use with multiple things you need locked up but it is great with a bike. I've used it and it does the trick but you might buy two if you are locking up a bike. Use on locking the wheels.

Great lock
I ordered this to lock my scooter because it doesn't have a key! Works great!

bought 4 years ago STILL GOING STRONG
I bought one of these in may 2020 to use along with another small Krypnonite mini on a beater bike in NYC. I dont leave my bike out at night bcz thats a big NO NO here in the city, but ive left it locked up for most of the day at times & this one worked perfectly as an additional security. My beater recently died (RIP my friend) & I now have a somewhat nicer bike with more expensive components on it so Im upgrading my locking game however I will still also use this lock which is STILL functioning perfectly -I never had an issue with it, at this point the rubber coating is tearing off in the u area but other than that is still going strong. Id definitely recommend as an extra backup lock.

Great lock if you hate bike theft
I like to ride my bicycle and I am against bike theft. I am going to be completely honest with you, my bike is sweet. It’s worth stealing. Which is why I have invested in many a bike lock over the years. I especially like the OTTOLOCK Sidekick because it is smaller and lighter than my other pile of U locks. Big bonus that it fits nicely in my commuter bag, which is usually loaded with towels, swim goggles and other detritus for the community center, slurpee stops and trips to the grocery store. Since I had kids, that’s where I lock my bike most. On special occasions I get to lock my sweet ride in front of a coffee shop and loiter in spandex. I like that my Ottolock Sidekick is orange, allowing it to stand out among all the other bike stuff/gear in my garage so I can grab it and go when it’s needed. The lock bar attaches from either side of of the U, which makes locking up and unlocking a snap. I don’t feel like I wrestle with it when I lock the bike in a weird location or position. The silicone coating doesn’t bung up my paint either. I am happy with this product.

Compact, strong
This small u-lock is just the right size for most bike racks. The fit is so perfect I think it would be tough for a thief to fit a crowbar in and pop it open. It's also easy to hang on the bike somewhere.

Small, (relatively) lightweight and STRONG
I generally stay away from U-Lock style bicycle locks because of the weight penalty and size compared to chain or weave locks. This one from Ottolock is small enough to take with me on longer rides, and it's light enough to bring with me but definitely feels robust, it does have some weight to it, but much less than that of comparable U-Locks from, for example, Kryptonite.I'm now much less concerned about locking up my mountain bike in the city where I live. The lock fits in my triangle frame bag and is hardly noticeable when I'm riding. The silicone outer material prevents it from scratching my bicycle frame and helps it hang wherever I've attached it when it's in use. The keys turn smoothly in the lock and there are no gaps in the construction (the connection of the U to bottom bolt is very stable when closed, no gap and little wiggle). Finding a pole (street sign, metal fence post, whatever) is a bit of a challenge sometimes due to the small circumference of the lock but I knew what I was getting when I purchased it. All in all for around 40€ I am extremely impressed. The ONLY criticism I have of the product has nothing to do with the design or implementation. I was a little concerned when I first received it about how to remove the zip-tie holding the keys. It's quite tightly/closely secured to the U and given that the surface of the lock is a silicone sleeve, I was worried about cutting into it when removing the zip-tie with scissors. I was able to do it with a pair of very small swiss army knife scissors and some patience, without marking the silicone.Overall this product fulfilled my expectations entirely.
