BQLZR USB Female to DC 5.5x2.1mm Female DC Power Supply Extension Adapter Cable Pack of 2

I needed these to power some security cameras that replaced my old cctv cameras. I didn't want to run new lines so I bought these to power the new ones with the existing barrel plugs on the old cameras. Worked flawlessly.

I got these four of days ago, and am quite disappointed. One of them just doesn't work, and the other one has an inconsistent connection. Generally, I would just return these as I'm within the standard return window for Amazon. Unfortunately, these items cannot be returned at any point. I've never seen a no-return policy like this on Amazon for non-grocery items, so I didn't know I needed to check. Now I'm stuck with one semi-functional adapter, when I paid for two working adapters. I might as well have just ordered from Temu.

These are little jewels to me! I install commercial camera and wireless security systems as a side gig. Between this and my computer/network gigs, I have many ac power adapters (5vdc) which mate perfectly with these female usb connector adapter! The adapter seems to be well made and just the right length. DC current wise, I don't know if there is a spec on that. I would estimate no greater than 1.5 A ---- which is fine for most applications. Than you for these little jewels!

Tried to used these on existing CCTV power to charge nestcam. It doesn't work. The voltage fluctuates and NestCam doesn't charge and continues to run on battery mode. [Update] It turns out I needed a 5-6V output for it to be compatible with the NestCam and this adapter. I had a 12V for old CCTV and that was too much for the nest. Updated rating!

And the wires are stamped as being 18 AWG, which it is important for my application. They are working well so far, carrying around 2 amps.

Both ends on both adapters have loose connections. I could deal with that with some glue, but my raspberry pi complains of low voltage when using either adapter. I have a third adapter with the same PSU that has no issues.

The main problem I found with these cables is that the female USB connector allows too much free play. When I plug in a male USB, it can move side to side too much. I attached a USB voltage tester and power supply to test these cables and found that when I touched the USB connector, and moved the wire a little bit, the voltage fluctuated. That's a bad sign, and should not happen at all. If I'm careful to plug the male USB in very straight, and then don't touch it, the voltage is stable. Very fragile electrical connection.

Perfekt, selber bauen lohnt sich nicht. Viel mehr gibt es nicht zu sagen, wenn es einfach nur um einen 5V Adapter geht. Selber bauen lohnt sich nicht.

My old Tapo cameras were 9v and use 5.5mm x2.1 power adapter. My new Tapo cameras are 5v usb for power. I was able to use this adapter and one other for the other end to allow me to reuse the original power cable instead of having to run new power cable. Cheap solution and works fine

Tried to get this to work with the Asus Infinity. Just a note, if you are using a docking station this will not work. Use your battery pack with this product and the tablet directly and it works great.
