I need a fish finder for depths up to 1000' will the FCV 295 work?

I do not understand if you meam 1000 ft or meters. Everything depends anyhow by the transducer and frequency you utilise. In any case with 1kw power with a tru hull mount you can easily reach 1000ft/328 meters.If you want to fish at 1000 mt/3280 ft you need 3kw

So transducer has to be purchased separately? What is included in the box?

This is just the unit. You will need wires for the power separately. It does come with a cover and instruction manual.
