Easy use walkie-talkie
At this price, it was good value for money, easy to setup and use. Trouble is, my wife can get hold of me in my workshop now!! Doh!

PMR446 License-free legal
These are PMR446 pre-programmed with fixed (non removable) antennas. UK rules have changed allowing a removable antenna, so for greater range the Baofeng 888s is a better choice - but beware that unlike these, they don’t necessarily come pre-programmed with the correct frequencies or power level to be legal without a license. You need cable and software (purchased separately) to re-programme either of these Baofeng radios.

Value for money
Because of coronavirus and shielding I found it ideal to contact my husband if he was outside of house, so that he could answer doors etc. Also if he goes walking he feels safer knowing I can get assistance to him because of his health conditions. The system is very easy to use and sound is clear. All in all a very good purchase.

Awesome for price
We use them in a large commercial unit on a large industrial site.... without line of sight signal is surprisingly good and very surprised with line of sight distance. Can’t believe how good they are for price... yes they feel cheap but for the cost they are very good and sound quality is good, yes it could be better but for price these are great!

They really do work
We live on a 25-acre farm and they work extremely well with a crystal-clear reception through a 2' thick stone wall farm building.

Didn’t work over any distance worth buying walkie talkies for
These were easy to use. Had high hopes for these as they say can be used over many KMs. They worked to the end of the road, and when we went around the corner they didn’t work. Just not up to the job. Wanted to use them when kids went to beach or the shops which are pretty close, about 1.5km and the signal dropped out way before.

Works but not very clear
Bought these for my niece thinking sound quality would be better than the toy ones, it's not very clear but good enough, the range is excellent

Totally inadequate range, line of site may be fine but once a building is in the way they are very hit and miss.
