Gripping story and great characters
My 8 and 10 year old daughters started reading this series when the first book came out a few years ago. I was so hooked on it that I ended up reading this third book in the trilogy myself! The story is intricate and suspenseful - I definitely did not guess the ending. And the characters have much more depth than most children's books. I found both the male and female protagonists complex enough to draw me in and care about their fate. It also provides an interesting insight into Japanese mythology that I appreciated. I hope the author writes more books!

Sound great, purchased as a gift
I love the sound of this book. I have purchased it as a gift for my niece instead of an Easter egg. Can't wait for her to tell me how much she enjoyed it!

Recommended for 10-12 years
My 11 year old son is loving this adventure series set in Japan - hope there will be more soon.
