Ipe oil beats boiled linseed oil in test
I did a little trial as shown in the pictures; this ipe oil on two deck boards and old school boiled linseed oil on the other two. Left the unit out outside for a few days. Look what I found a couple hours after a rain. Ipe boards bone dry, others still puddling. Before the test, identical appearance. Standing water is no good! Ipe oil wins easily.

Great product. Just what I needed.
Just what I needed. I had a small bench made of Ipe that needed to be oiled and I didn’t want to buy a full gallon. This small container worked perfectly. The bench also turned out beautifully after oiling and the product greatly enhanced the look of the wood. I’d definitely buy this product again in gallon form if I needed more.

Great oil but too expensive
I used this on IPE and it works great.

Not great
Needs multiple coats! Oil we have used in the past just needs one coat and last months. This one didn’t look great from the start and it’s so small we couldn’t get a second coat out of the can. We have ipa around our pool edge.

Looks great. Not sticky.
Really hydrates and brings the natural tones out of my Ipe mailbox.

must have to seal cut ends of ipe lumber
This is a wax like liquid that is easy to brush onto cut ends of ipe lumber. Recommended to apply within 24 hours after cutting the ends of ipe lumber. Very easy to apply. Be sure to wipe off any that has been applied to the finish surface of the lumber other than the ends. It is white when applied but dries dark brown. After drying, which takes an hour or less, the ends are sealed.
