Deceived No More: How Jesus Led Me out of the New Age and into His Word

God's call on Doreen's life is evident. This book is written with a courageous honesty that could only be inspired by God. While I don't agree with everything Doreen writes in her book, I highly recommend it for the insight into the New Age practices permeating our culture and the church. Doreen confesses that much of her work was lies. Doreen also admits the demonic origin of the supernatural phenomena she experienced and taught on in her new age days. That was brave and God has shown her mercy "because [she] acted in ignorance and unbelief." 1 Ti 1:13. Her criticism of charismatics is painted with too broad a brush. Problems exist in all denominations and all local congregations. That is why Christians are called to personally and carefully examine the Scriptures to verify what is true as the Bereans did after hearing the great apostle Paul preach. Acts 17:11.

Doreen Virtue has always been a woman of great knowledge and influence, and she is now a practicing Christain and disciple of Christ Jesus. She has much to say and very important information to share with those that are seeking to find the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and how we can't serve two Gods, why and how the Word of God transformed her from a mislead spiritual guru to a humble servant of Jesus Christ and His mission for the gospel to the whole world. Bravo! We done. Well said. Very resourceful and can be shared with others seeking as their resource too. A must have, while the church in watching so many fall away from the gospel of Christ, and substituting Grace and Salvation, for false gods, false theologies, and damning doctrines of demons. I'm very impressed by Dee Virtue, and the humble approach she takes with confused but seeking people. God is faithful! Keep searching! Amen

I love this book . It’s the best book of my life because it’s open my eyes to see the different between new age and false gods . And I’m in Jesus path right now and with my pastor as a guide .Thanks you so much for this book Doreen V

This book falls shy of five stars because I felt there was some unnecessary repetitiveness in specific topics, and towards the end of the book, I couldn't help but feel things jumped back and forth on other topics. Other than that, this book is perfect for any ex-New Ager, Agnostic Spiritualist, or Christian Science reformer. Throughout the book, there are a few gold resource nuggets that the author mentions. She provides a sound scriptural reference for the reader to 'script check if the reader so feels the need.Altogether, I spent about nine hours reading over a couple of weeks, making the book a relatively easy read. I particularly enjoyed the overview of the different forms of false teaching. This book is an invaluable tool to have in your personal library to regift or give out as a loaner to those whom the Holy Spirit says need it for a time.As with all non-biblical teaching, default back to scripture in every way. The author spent some time discussing personal convictions about music and spiritual warfare. This is the only portion of the book the author doesn't provide many biblical passages to support her conclusions. However, each of us are lifted out of false teaching differently. Music may be a form in which the Holy Spirit has told her the devil can reenter the author's life - even if it is modern Christian worship music. Whereas my trojan horse may be something different. Constantly communicate with Jesus about what the Holy Spirit is telling you is suitable for your life. At the end of the day, Jesus is the ultimate decider.

Excellent book! I know people in the New Age, and they are so clueless! Not to mention arrogant. However, I have to say this: Christian Universalism has been given a bad rap by preachers who stand to gain by preaching the doctrine of eternal hell. There is much scripture to support Christian Universalism.. Satan does not want us to know of the victory that is in Christ. Our Lord suffered and died to save the world and He will not settle for less. The scripture says he will see the travail of hi soul AND BE SATISFIED. I recommend the book titled "Hope Beyond Hell." It gives the scriptures to support CU. Also, "God's Sacred Secret" by Darrell Scott. I am thankful for these books and others like them. If the church would preach Christian universalism I believe every pew would be filled whenever the doors opened and people would be set free to love and worship God out of joyous gratitude instead of fear of eternal hellfire.

I pretty much exclusively used Doreen's books and cards while entering the new age. I found Jesus on my own but after finding that she too found the same truth I was grateful to learn of this books existence! I love that she includes verses to study throughout the book and very clearly paints the image of how easily one can be deceived. I reccomend this book to anyone questioning the new age and ready to start a relationship with Jesus. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Doreen and may God continue to bless you!

I read this book in two days and it has been a true blessing on my journey. After to many years in new age and being a Reiki Master for more then 10 years, 3 years ago I left the new age and also went through many challenges in my life. It was not easy but truly worth everything I went through. This book is exactly what I needed to go forward and help me find the right path to get closer to God as I now surrender completely to His Divine will. I bought this book a couple weeks ago. And I found it interesting as Doreen shared her story of true conversion from New age to Christianity. Having read that book, I understood that Doreen is sincere in her faith in Jesus Christ. She is now a discerning woman. She stood up for her faith and rejects every other ideology and so-called religion. I pray that God will help her grow and use her for His Kingdom more and more.

This book and the story of the author is a testimony of courage and for the truth. Because there’s just one truth.Please read it and get back on the right and only track for us all.

I was very impressed with this book. The author goes into great detail about her life and how she had always sought for spiritual truth. Brought up in the Christian Scientist teachings, Doreen became involved in New Age doctrines and thinking, becoming rich, famous and widely followed. However, even leading such a luxurious lifestyle did not satisfy her inner yearning and when she began to listen to Christian teaching on the historical and real Jesus, she gradually realised that she had been deceived and that the New Age 'Jesus' was false as were all the associated teachings. Doreen is painfully honest as she writes about her long journey from being the darling of those who used her books, angel and goddess cards and teachings, to being the subject of vilification and ridicule as she witnessed to her new found Christian faith; losing her publisher, home and finances.Not only is this a fascinating read about the author's personal life, it also clearly explains about New Age teaching and how this is totally incompatible with Christianity. There is also a wake up call for many who regard themselves as Christian but follow practices which are banned in the Bible, and concerns that such teachings have infiltrated some churches. Highly recommended.

Wonderful book that reveals New Age Deception and helps lead more people to read the Bible for the Truth. Helps educate Christians on the importance of daily Bible reading and a great Book to lead more souls to Jesus Christ. Important for everyone in the New Age to read.
