What's the difference between these and the Freestyle besides better colors, slightly different styling and an extra $20?

I'm confused by the other answer since you can buy Freestyle with a microphone too. It looks as though although both are sweat and water resistant, the Soundsport headphones are specifically advertised for "enhanced durability." I actually called a Bose showcase store to ask about that. It turns out the designs are slightly different. Ex: The Soundsport has a Y connection at the point where the wires split, while the Freestyle wires are closer together. (If you google images of the headphones, you'll see the that difference.) I'm assuming this is to help prevent tangling or wire strain, but that's just a guess.The Soundsport headphones also come with an extension cord, adding an additional 21 inches. Even without the extension, the cord is a little longer. The extra length could be handy for running on a treadmill or perhaps setting your device on the ground while doing floor work. The carrying case for the Soundsport also has a karabiner and looks to be more durable than the Freestyle case. It's advertised to hold keys and cash (there's a small mesh pocket), while the Freestyle case is advertised to be able to protect your phone too due to the rectangular shape (no mesh pocket). The extra $20 could account for those accessories and the "durability design." The case itself is $12.99 (vs. the $9.95 of the Freestyle case) and the extension cord is $9.99.
