WOW! if you want something that doesn't scratch your glass this is it!!!!! wish i found it a long time ago. its a little more difficult and takes a little more time but its absolutely worth it!! i think the magnet could be a tad stronger but still good. my glass is 3/4 and thinking i should have maybe gone with the bigger model but again it does great and removes any algae perfectly! is a bit tricky when moving across the corners but not hard.

Best magnet cleaner I’ve used. By far.
Expensive but worth it. Glides smoothly on the glass, and removes algae my magna floats wouldn’t.

Best yet.
Best thing since sliced bread...no kidding. Be sure to buy the correct magnet for your glass thickness. Unfortunately not all stores make it clear there is more than one type. This is the 'strong' one, which will deal with the half-inch glass of a 100 gallon and up tank.It solves the problem of picking up sand grains, which can scratch acrylic or even glass. It is less obtrusive as a permanent object in the tank, being thin, and black.I had spionids on the side glass that another brand of very strong magnet just could not get. This powered them right off. It deals with coralline.Spendy, but worth it---solving the endless quest for something small enough to get into small places and powerful enough to really get the tough stuff off.

I bought the small one for my nano and this one for my 135 gallon. I love the fact that there very little contact with the glass and the scrapers do a great job of removing algae. This is not a glass scrubber, so sand will not get between the contact points and glass to cause scratches. The plastic blades are perfect if you have an acrylic tank. This one also has a metal blade that is good for scraping hard to removed coraline algae.

great scraper. almost awesome.
The media could not be loaded. this is really a great scraper for your aquarium. it is particularly valuable for salt water aquariums that have to deal with coralline algae. this video shows how it just eats away at some pink coralline that would otherwise take hard hand scraping. i also have a magfloat large, but that does not clean off the coralline.this video shows how it eats it up. in this video, i do have on the metal blade. if you run it with the plastic blade, it will also clean off most coralline, but it'll take more iterations and some of the tougher stuff won't come off. it's still good, but the metal blade really eats it up.it's pretty pricey, so its up to you if it's worth the money. if you have a reef aquarium, maybe you've already accepted that little in the hobby is cheap.why i like it:1) does a great job on hard algae2) there's a blade on both ends, so it cleans two sides at a time.3) only the blade touches on the inside, so you don't worry as much about grabbing sand and scraping up the glass.i gave it 4 starts because it does fall short on a couple things. the biggest issues i have are1) i wish the handle on the outside of the aquarium was a bit larger. as it is, you have to hold it pretty tight with your fingers. you can't palm it or otherwise grip it like a handle. my fingers fatigue much faster with this than with the magfloat.2) i wish it floated like magfloat. if you scrub too fast and the outside handle slides off the magnet area, the blade drops to the bottom of the aquarium, which can be a pain. it's also not as easy to go around corners, so it may drop there as well.3) the blades could snap on better. there's little risk of the blades coming off while you're scraping because the magnet force pulls the handle onto the blade harder. but if it were to fall and drop to the bottom (see #2), the fall could dislodge the blade.overall, it's still a great cleaner for your aquarium.

This thing works !!!
This thing works WWWAAAYYYY BETTER than the magnet cleaner I was using and does in like 1 or 2 passes over the allgae. The magnet is strong on my 1/2 inch glass. I ordered the one with out the floats but they sent the one with the floats and glad they did as the wider grip float on the outside is helpful moving the scrapper with the strength of the magnets.I give it a 10 !

Garbage.
I would not buy this magnet. After 40 day of use the ends fall off, felt pads come off, and magnets are rusting. I contacted Tunze USA and they really did not care, and did not offer any assistance when I contacted them about the end falling off on 1/15/18.If Tunze really got it together, this magnet would be a really good product.
