Hooper (BD) [Blu-ray]

A great movie about making an action movie full of stunts, gags and humor. Made between Smokey and the Bandit one and two so Sally Fields is of course part of the cast and his lovely live in fiancée. Several other previous costars also added to the line up bringing even more fun to the story. I think that they had every stunt actor and actress available in Hollywood in this one and it was billed as a movie about the lives of stunt people so try not to blink or you'll need to rewind. Definitely worth owning so you can watch again. Good family movie, popcorn and beverages recommended. Classic Burt Reynolds doing what he does best.

But Reynolds at his best. Along with a lot of great actors. Having fun is this movie.It also shows the difference between reality vs. Green screne filming. Real location scenes have a better viewing. Rather then a fake environment (green screen)

Love this movie and saw at drive-in when first came out!!! Funny and exciting car scenes. Some filmed when old barracks were destroyed in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Memories.

I loved this movie. I love Burt Reynolds. What else is there to say?

This was one of the best Burt Renyolds ever made, right on pair with smokey and the bandit . The last big stunt of the movie was real. It had to be filmed in 1 take as the site was already slated for demolition

I'm a big Burt Reynolds fan and I hadn't seen this one so I gave it a shot. It definitely was not as good as his others, and I actually turned it off about halfway through because I got bored. Which seems difficult for a movie about stuntmen.

My grandson loves Burt Reynolds movies and this one was fun to watch.

A great reminder of the limitations of cinema in the 70's but still mworth watching.

This is Reynolds at his all time best in my opinion. Operating in his comfort zone allows him to be funny, witty and charming and this film wraps it all together in a HUGE bundle of fun!! Brilliant bar scene when Burt stands up and hits the lump who has interrupted his table obviously looking for trouble and turns to camera to say 'we could be in trouble' when the man doesn't even wince. Then headbutts him with his helmet on and again gets no joy and once more turns to camera and says 'We are definitely in trouble!' before all hell lets loose in a free for all bar room fight that the Duke would have been proud of. Young stuntmen are lapping at his heels and he's coming apart at the seams it seems with bones held together by metal clamps and pain injections to keep him going all building up to one last BIG jump that is spectacular. One telling moment is when producer max says to Roger the director...'Its only a movie!' to which he replys 'Only a movie? I'll tell that to the board who have financed it and everybody who has invested time and money, don't worry ITS ONLY A MOVIE!!' Faircall in my book because people live their lives by certain films and they really do matter. Buy it. Watch it. And Enjoy Burt doing what he undoubtedly does best.

Never released on DVD in the UK, and only released in a poor pan and scan release in the US, this has finally got a release it deserves, in a new 16/9, 1080p print, for all UK fans, it's region free so can play on ALL Blu-ray players, one of Burt's best, great picture, nice price, a fun, fun movie, for me a must own. Thanks Warner.

Love, Love, Love this film. I'd been searching for ages and ages to get this on DVD. I knew it was a Region 1 DVD but that wasn't going to stop me from buying it. So to be able to watch it I also bought, from Amazon, a region free dvd player. May seem to some like a bit of an expense for just one dvd, but to me it was well worth it. Thank you

Details on cover say 4-3 but on playing it says picture format redone to fit your screen, and yes...its any region...ntsc..watched the start..very good copy.
