Dig Your Well Before You're Thirsty: The Only Networking Book You'll Ever Need

Fantastic Networking Book
In my view this book is definitely worth the read! This is a great book about how to build your personal network as well as develop relationships with friends, coworkers and acquaintances in order to grow your list of 'clutch' friends (i.e. that select group of people who will come to your aid when you're in a bind). The book centers around the idea, which I realize I forget sometimes, that you need to develop relationships with those `clutch' friends long before you ever need them, and this book explains how to do just that!Harvey McKay does a great job once again as "Dig Your Well Before You're Thirsty: The Only Networking Book You'll Ever Need" is definitely worthwhile if you're looking for a new job, trying to move up in your organization, or in any type of sales. I would say that this is a must read for anyone in business whose livelihood revolves around leads or referrals. It's not just about who you know anymore, it's about who you know that will come to your aid when you need them.

Life changing! No man is an island, we must all build a network and this shows you exactly how. Read it when it first came out and owe much of my success to having read it.

Essential and top notch professional networking book. Buy it!
Crucial professional networking and general for a clear understanding. The title gives away what he'll go over and I love this book. I have a stack of networking books and all have ended up in the garbage, skipped the garage sale. The bottom says the Only Networking Book You'll Ever Need, and that is true.

Recommended book!
This is one book that I recommend to anyone who is quiet or doesn't think they are the type of person who can benefit from social networking. If you think you will make it to the top on merit alone, read this book. Its practical and to the point. Lots of great examples to learn from as well.

Great book. Harvey tells a story in a way to keep you interested. I also love the multiple short chapters. I can read several at a time and it doesn't take very long to fit it into a busy day.

Important concepts, writing could be better
The themes in the good are very important and useful, it's all about Mackay's rise to top society, and how to form a network of people who can solve you many problems. His writing could be better, many chapters are not really related to each other.
