How do they stick to the walls without paint coming off after? Also is there a side profile or thickness which means you see from the side?

We have wallpaper on the wall, 95% if the time I use them stick well. Yes, it has thickness and yes it is visible

Do tou have to apply 4 strips for every picture frame or can you use just two at the top

Strong adhesive

These work very well, but be careful because their "holding" strength is almost too strong, particularly if you use them on a wall that multiple layers of paint, it could pull the paint right off when you try to separate the two hooked pieces by pulling them apart.
