Get Respect!!! Become the Neighborhood Nectar Dealer to Your Hummies!!!
Ok, ok, ok, so I got a little head start on getting my hummies (homies) started on this thing. They were used to my plain-jane Perky Pet 8 oz. glass bottle feeder, however, I had to get rid of it since the plastic piece inside had cracked and it was already surviving major melt-down from prior dog-chewing of the flower feeds when my little guy was just a pup (yes, he managed to get a hold of the thing, don't ask how)! I only had one flower feed left on the feeder for crying out loud...you could tell who the veteran birds were 'cause they'd circle the feeder trying to slurp out of the other feeds, only to find out there was only one flower feed for the nectar--hahaha!!! So after being cheap and years of duct tape, I finally gave in. It was no use in trying to order the extra replacement pieces, either. After tallying it up, the retail price of the pieces exceeded what it actually costs just to buy a brand new feeder!!! So, I thought to myself, why not get a feeder that feeds the same, but with some style and cutsieness factor? And so you have it folks...the Cherry Valley Heart Hummingbird Feeder. I only filled it up half way at first, since I knew it'd take my hummies some time to get acclimated to it. I wanted to avoid the possibility of my hummies slurping fermenting nectar. Sure, it took about a week until I started noticing the nectar getting lower. I think maybe they were a little intimidated by the round heart design as opposed to their sleeker bottle design they were used to. But soon thereafter, I started filling it up more and more and the birds have become accustomed to it taking the feeder under their wings (hardy har har).Ok so if you're wondering about the actual feeder itself, the handling, etc...it's pretty easy to grasp. My feeder came with all of it's trinkets, window mount suction, AND a little rope for tying through the top if you want it to hang. I highly recommend hanging since I think if I were a hummingbird, getting to close to a window, especially a high traffic window, would be too risky and intimidating. I'm sure some of them would take the risk anyways, heck, if you're hungry, you're hungry, right? But I prefer the hanging method since that's what my hummies were used to originally. To fill the nectar, you just unscrew the heart from the base and fill and screw it back into the base. The heart is easy to clean...I just shake water inside and clean with a toothbrush. Now if you want to clean the base out, which I highly suggest inbetween feeds, it's a little trickier. The white base pops off into two pieces. I just push my fingers (index pointer and middle) in through the top of the base (where the heart attaches), apply pressure to the bottom piece and separate with my thumb in order to pop off top from the bottom. (Fingers may be vice versa?) Anyhow, I suggest cleaning this part out well because when I cleaned it out, I noticed a little accumulation of fermentation film (which happened in the old feeder, too). If this carries onto the next feeding, I'm sure the birds will eventually become sick--it's like drinking out of a glass that hasn't been cleaned! Would you do that now? I didn't think so.Ahhh...so nice to see all of my neighborhood hummies back again, getting all gangsta on each other, trying to claim their feeder/territory. To think, for a little nectar dealing, I get days of nature's finest entertainment. All I hear now are Jetson-like jet-scooting noises, chirpy chirps, and buzz's that put any noise from high-powered fans to shame. Leave it to me to become the local neighborhood nectar dealer. I've got my hummies hooked and coming back for more!!!

Enjoy birding watching from your window
I have had this ArtLine hummingbird feeder before and couldn't find it anymore in the store and was so glad to find it available through Amazon. It is such a delight to watch the hummingbirds sit and drink from the feeder, while just on the other side of the window. When the sun is shining, you can really see the beautiful coloring of the birds, that you wouldn't see as well from a distance. Since the window I use is high, I need to use a ladder to take the feeder up & down, to clean and refill, it does involve alittle extra work, but it is worth it, to enjoy my bird watching. The main plus for me, is the feeder is light weight and easy to remove from the holder, unlike many of the other window feeders I have seen.

The hummingbirds love it, it is cute
The hummingbirds love it, it is cute, and easy to clean. I bought it for the office, as we have frequent hummingbird visitors. The only downside was that I broke the plastic piece that holds the feeder on the suction cup on my first one within the first week because I wasn't paying attention to what part it slides onto. I used rubber bands to hold it on, but bought a new one for my house recently, and have no problem now that I know to be more careful when putting it onto the suction cup base.

Could not be more pleased with the purchase.
This cheery heart shaped feeder has the perfect look. A simple bright red heart is all that shows from a distance. Humming birds find it immediately. It is durable and easy to clean. I've been buying them for maybe 10 years now. One hangs from the tree in front of our house, another on the porch, another in the rear window near the breakfast nook, and others throughout the garden.I have replaced them periodically and bought some for housewarming gifts. Last year I couldn't find them in the local stores so I went on line and was tickled pink to get them. I bought seven. They were all in excellent condition, & were shipped promptly. I couldn't be more pleased with the product or the service. Thank you very much.

A bit cheap
Very cute. I gave as a gift to my mom. She hasn't hung it yet bc she is trying to find a good window that doesn't have a screen on it so that the suction cups can stick. I thought the quality was a bit cheap feeling, but she loved the gift.

Nice delievery but poor quality
I was pleased with the product coming in so quickly; however, one part, the part you use to hang the feeder, broke while trying to put it on the feeder. I find them to be very flimsy. I don't know where to get another part. So, I ordered two Chery Valley Feeders but can only use one of them.

My Hummers didn't care to feed from it. Easy to clean

Perch
Every thing is good about this feeder except there is no perch. They prefer to sit and drink then hover and drink. When sitting this allows you to observe them better.
