Excellent
Excellent, once the bacteria builds up , these have started my water out , even the nitrates are now constantly low saving on the amount of water changes I need to do, would recommend.

Good product
Was looking for some lava rock for my fish tank project and find this one much cheaper than others Lava rock, when bag was arrive I was find that inside was good amount of lava rock. That was enough for me to finish that fish tank project. I was heard from my friend that this bag was use to his BBQ as well :)

Something sinister in my batch
Just a bit of info, I have kept aquariums for a long time, I have a heavily planted 150l community tank that has been happy and well for 5 years. This review is concerning using these rocks as substrate in a 60l tank. The 60l tank was established, so I removed the fish and filter, heavily rinced the lava rock, landscaped using the now clean rock, then returned the fish and filter. That was 2 days ago. I noticed my fish weren't eating last night but I thought perhaps they are just adjusting to their new environment and thought nothing of it.This tank was to house a batch of Angel fish I have raised from eggs. I woke up this morning and have lost 7 Angel fish... my remaining angel fish are swimming in tight circles or bobbing sideways... I have removed all the fish and put them in an aerated bucket of fresh water but... I don't really even know what else to say other than there was something (heavy metals perhaps?) in my batch of lava rock that killed almost all of my fish and left the immediate survivors very sick. What an absolutely stupid tragedy.Make of this what you will.

Good but expensive
Considering is a rock, is expensive. Also need to wash it a lot before using as its very dirty.
