The picture does not do this product justice. It is much nicer looking, sturdy, easy to put together product. Anyone, can put this together in less than a half an hour. This included unpacking it. The black version really looks cool. I bought it for the master bedroom and it fits nicely in.Their customer service is sensational, by the way.The back story, while every effort was made to bubble wrap, and protect this product, from being shipped from Quebec to Colorado, UPS was less kind to the handling. One of the glass shelves was obliterated and another one damaged. Fortunately, it is tempered glass, but it was a nasty mess to clean up.I called Customer Service, on a late Friday afternoon, before the three day Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend. I explained the issue and they quickly shipped out three replacement shelves. No return of broken glass shards was required And UPS was more kind to the product.One thing to note, in the box this is a heavy and bulky product. But, once it is put together, it is not difficult to pick up and move around.FYI, it does not have coaster wheels, but it seems to move easy on carpet surfaces; frictionless included coasters. Also, once put together the unit is very stable; no wobble. Instructions are simple to follow, just follow the picture diagram. Everything goes together by stacking the supports, shelves and tightening what would be the legs of the stand. The back panel, is attached with an included Allen wrench. FYI, it is assembled upside down. A good idea to have a helper, but not required. I assembled it using my queen size bed as assembly platform. Blanket made a good soft base to not scratch what would be the top shelf.So, I recommend this product and the price is a bargain for the quality.

This stand is very easy to put together. The directions are only pictures with no close-ups of any. A few suggestions: 1) there are plastic washers with a lip for the round post pieces. Be sure to install the post inside the lip of the washer, 2) be sure to install the shelves right side (shiny side) up. But no tools are needed to build it, except for the panel that hides the cables. An hex wrench is included for installing it.The only problem is that the screw holes for the metal piece that hides the cords (the wide piece with the holes in the picture) do not line up. Only 2 screws of the four can be installed. This is not a huge issue as it is only cosmetic. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

I have had this unit for just over a month. The screw retainers that hold the back plate on came apart. These were glued in some fashion to the glass. Poorly. The unit was never moved once assembled, is in an air conditioned house. Since the pillars are also glued to the same piece of glass these will undoubtedly be separating as well. Of course my return period has lapsed. Very disappointing.

This TV stand worked out perfectly for our needs. It arrived well-packed, it's sturdy, the quality is nice and it looks terrific (love the black tempered glass shelves). At a cost of less than $100 it was a steal. We are *very* pleased with this purchase.Note: Assembly is easier with two people and patience is a must. We had a problem with one screw... the pem nut was defective and had to be straightened.

When the package first arrived and I opened the box to all the assorted pieces, I notice that the sheet layers of styrofoam in the box to protect the pieces has really deteriorated to the point where it falls apart in my hands as I'm pulling it out. The glass shelving pieces are in their own separate box, contained within the entire units box. between each shelving piece is more of the styrofoam sheets and it falls apart just the same.So the very first piece is the top shelf where the TV will rest, and on the underside of that shelf are threaded metal plates where four threaded rods screw into. Which then you slide the spacers and other shelves over the rods layer by layer, then add the feet and flip the whole thing over the right side up. I'm at step one of the directions. Screwing the rods into the top shelf. I see that one of the metal plates has the black tint of the shelf chipping off all around it where the plate is hanging on my a single piece of tint. It fell off as soon as I touched it.When I went to the order details on Amazon it has a message saying to contact the manufacturer directly for any broken pieces as they can provide you with a replacement, and there's a link to the website. When I went to the website there are two methods of filing for replacement pieces. online or over the phone. At first, I tried online which has you give all your order detail as well as take pictures, I think up to 8 but with a max of 10Mb total. I go through the process, hit submit and there's an error code on the webpage, it doesn't go through. Don't waste your time doing that. So now I call. I'm on hold for maybe 2 minutes, they take my order info, confirm the piece I needed to be replaced, ship it out and a 21-pound replacement top shelf is at my door in 3-4 days from Canada. Very pleasant and easy to deal with customer service.Now being able to get past step one, I set it up no problem. No issues with any of the metal plates or the tint on the replacement. I really like this stand. It's the perfect size for my TV and other electronics, it fits the room well and like how it looks. I don't have a problem with needing to replace the broken shelf as the process was simple enough and they took care of it right away. All it took me was a little extra patience. 5/5 from me

Quality is kind of cheap. But it will do for now.

This item was exactly as described, and is very sturdy! Added bonus was that it's exceptionally easy to install! I opted to not install the backplate and it looks great without it.
