PrimeWeld 50A Air Inverter Plasma Cutter, Portable Plasma Cutting Machine, Premium and Rugged Plasma Cutter Kit, Automatic Dual Voltage 110V/220V AC with Plasma Torch, 1/2" Clean Cut, CUT50D: desertcart.com: Tools & Home Improvement Review: Fantastic - Amazing welder, absolutely no issues Review: Stop debating and BUY IT. - Love it! They simplified the plumbing on the back, eliminated an exterior hose and added a nice brass quick connect. Comes set up and ready to go, better than what you see in pictures here. Power cord is quite short, I made an extension that converts to the NEMA 14-50 plug I needed. Surprised at the nice quality of the ground clamp even though the cable is pretty thin. Instruction manual is useless, but it cuts fast and smooth, with great power and quality of cut. Can’t imagine better for the money. Torch is pretty solid and the trigger has a decent feel - not the super cheap zip-tied torch on some other units. Overall feel of the quality is good for an imported unit - not a $1500 made in USA rig but the paint finish is nice, the control knob is smooth, it’s fairly quiet and it flat out WORKS.

WOW!
I received this Plasma Cutter today after ordering it just 3 days ago. I'll have to admit, I wasn't expecting much for $299 but I had a bunch of 4 inch standard pipe that I wanted to cut up and get rid of. The pipe is only quarter inch wall so I hoped it would at least cut that up. Now, I've been a metal fabricator for 37 years and used hand held plasma cutters since they became mainstream in the 80's. This little machine blew me away, it cuts just as good as the 2700 dollar Hypertherm machine that we have at the shop I work at. I have added 2 pics of a piece of HALF INCH plate that I cut with this machine. Keep in mind that I have done this for a very long time and have had lots of practice using one. Slow down, get a good comfortable position and let the machine cut. If you're getting sparks blowing up around the tip, you are going too fast. I cut this plate at 50 amps with 80 psi air pressure. I have a small campbel-hausfield compressor with a 13 gallon tank and it did just fine. I put it on a 50 amp breaker that I had for my welding machine and had no problems. I also bought replacement consumables with it and replaced the ones that came installed on the machine as they seemed to be a bit more heavy duty. I can't attest to the longevity of this machine, but it has a three year warranty and other reviewers say they have had good experiences with customer service. If I had to assign a single word to this machine it would have to be "Awesome"

Affordable and 50 amps of cutting power.
I wanted to wait until I had a couple solid weekends of use before I reviewed the primeweld plasma cutter. It seems like a great budget plasma cutter for the weekend warrior fabricator. Only time will tell on the longevity though. Pros: light weight, compact, easy to use and affordable. I’ve made 100+ cuts ranging from 1/16”, 3/16” and 1/4” thick steel. The consumable life seems good. Cons: cord is short and had the wrong plug for my setup. The torch itself seems adequate but the hoses are chincy and the protective cover feels like heat shrink tubing. Going to get a leather cover for it. Not a drag style tip but I knew that going in.

Great product and FANTASTIC service
Having read reviews stating that Primeweld provides good service, I decided to spend a little more for some piece of mind, and to support a seller that takes care of customers after sale. Having never run a plasma cutter, I had some questions and sent emails to Primeweld, whcich were answered within an hour. He answered my questions, and sent me tool in the mail (his cost for tool and shipping) that he hoped make my experience better while welding with 110 voltage. It does now run pretty well with 110, but physics is a stubborn thing, and only so much current can go through a 20amp 110-120 circuit. So if you need to cut steel thicker than 1/8” regularly you’ll have better cuts with 220. And that’s with any machine. It just takes a lot of current to blow through thick steel. I got this because I was given a 60” square of 1/8” steel, and it’s reallt nastbto cut with a torch. The Primeweld 50 cut it cleanly, even on 120v, though it was a little slow. Think realistically how often you’ll need to cut steel thicker than that. If you do, plan on wiring in a 220v 30amp outlet. Otherwise, you’ll be ok with 120v. Photo is of 1/2” cold roll it cut through in about 5 seconds. That would have taken a long time with my torch, and burned a lot of acetylen. I suspect that many of these machine have similar guts, and what differentiates them is the quality of the accessories and the support. I was impressed with the accessories. There’s plenty of hose and fasteners, so you don’t need to scrounge around getting it set up. And if you have a question, I’m sure the folks at Primeweld will do whatever they can to get you straight. Doug Aylett, VA

One bad lil machine for the money!!!
So far I’ve been more than happy with this lol machine. Directions are mediocre at best but with a bit of common sense and a little mechanical inclination setup is pretty easy. I used an air chuck on the inlet side of the regulator for sake of ease, and required a different plug so it matches my other 220 welder cords. Thus far I have only used it on 220v but I’ve been zipping through 3/16” steel like butter, 1/4” with little to no issue, and managed to cut a piece of 3/4” (see photo) with relative ease! One bad lil budget machine! No regrets so far, consumables seem to be lasting well and it’s done everything I’ve tried to do with no issue.

Fantastic all the way around.
I am beyond happy with this product as well as the outstanding customer service I recieved. You can never know about that side till you have an issue. I went with this seller over the others because of the great reviews they had. Now I know why. They are awsome. I had an issue, not their fault or a problem with the quality of the product, in fact it was with the shipping company. These guy's have integrity and you can buy with confidence from them. I can't say enough good about them. Now on to this beautiful plasma torch. Light weight, portable, and cuts beautifull. I am inpressed. This opens up a new world for creating and fixing things. If you are thinking about getting it and hesitating, just get it. Make sure you buy from these guys as well. You won't regret it. Amazing: price, product, and customer service. Thank you by far the best sellers I've dealt with online.

Great plasma cutter with the new updates!!!
This is a quick review of the prime weld cut 50D I received Aug 4th 2020. The unit received has been updated by prime weld which is not mentioned or shown on Amazon or other YouTube videos I’ve seen. Anyway here are the new updates: See my video below! The new updates: It came with a newer style torch AG60 with trigger guard; 220v 50 amp power cord is pre-installed and Included a 220v to 120v adapter for 110 outlet! The air filter/regulator was pre-installed! Came with extra air line as shown in other pictures but it is not needed any longer with the new updated machine....not sure why they included it? Please see my Amazon video below for more info!! Enjoy! Don’t hesitate to buy this unit it works as good as a more expensive hypertherm that I had at my last job! I’m very happy with the purchase! No regrets at all! Cuts great! AAAA
