A modern masterpiece. Integrating the latest materials with classic football boot styling, the 442 TEAM FG is a fusion of engineering and refinement. With a full grain leather vamp, durability and player touch and control is greatly improved while offering a superior fit and comfort. But, classic makes way for technology when it comes to the outsole. Re-engineered with an improved stud combination for specific use on firm ground pitches, the conical studs help provide 360° rotational traction, to keep players one step ahead.

Incredibly durable and works well for wide feet
I am really impressed with this pair. I have used them fairly consistently once a week for almost 4 years now, with a few breaks in between seasons. . They’ve held up and performed remarkably. I play primarily coed now, year-round, outdoor grass & turf, and on indoor turf. Shorter games/halves, but I am a fairly intense player. They’re breaking down a little bit now, mostly just separating at the toe. And they’re scuffed a bit too, of course. But with this many miles on them, and having really wide feet, I’m so pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend. I break thru the sides of nearly every shoe I own and these haven’t popped yet. They are light weight and comfortable. I don’t remember the break-in period but it didn’t take long. The feel has been and still is great as far as touch is concerned. They’re definitely not fancy, but that’s never been a requirement. If you want a basic boot that will last for your wide feet, these are it. I am shopping for my next pair of 442s now.

Fits my (apparently) wide foot perfectly
My soccer shoes that I was using were starting to show signs of wear. I needed a new pair, but I wanted a more comfortable shoe than the one I was replacing. I knew I needed a shoe that was a little wider and I usually compensated by getting a shoe that was a 1/2 size up to fit my foot. I ordered and returned two pairs of soccer shoes, one pair was an 11 from Adidas and the other pair was a 10 1/2 from new balance, but a different style. The ones I tried from NB were more of a stretch sock for the shoe, rather than a traditional soccer cleat design. I tried. I had not immediately purchased the 10 1/2 wide NB shoes, because I was having trouble finding a pair within a reasonable price - several were close to $200. After ordering and returning two soccer shoes from Amazon and then going to two brick and mortar athletic stores in my area I went back to Amazon and fortunately found these shoes at a price that was reasonable (I think I paid close to $90.00). From day 1, from the first moment I put these shoes on I knew I had my shoe. These are so comfortable and fit perfectly. I did have the advantage of going into a running store once and purchasing some running shoes, they had analyzed my foot with their crazy technology and the 10 1/2 NB wide is my foot size. BUT, if you have a wide foot or at least a foot that struggles to feel comfortable in a soccer cleat try these shoes - you will not be disappointed. Just an FYI, not all NB shoes are wide shoes though, but they do seem to offer a wide option in most if not all of their sizes.

Comfy shoe, fits wide feet
I bought this after seeing a fellow sportsman's pair. I don't usually buy shoes online because fit is difficult. I believe this is leather, if not the leatherish is solid and feels like leather. I wear an 8.5 and prefer a wide shoe. This was a men's shoe (since women don't get as many choices as men) and I found the correlating sized. The only issue I have is that the tongue feels like a solid bar against my ankle. This caused issues of bruising and rubbing. I solved this problem by folding it back. This is a very comfortable shoe. It took me three expensive soccer shoes to find this one which doesn't give me blisters, shin splints or support issues.

great cleats but had to return them
Nike and adidas cleats are too narrow, therefore I needed to look elsewhere to find a wide cleat. I usually wear a 10.5, so I ordered these in 10.5 W. Felt a little too roomy in the toe department, especially being a little wider than I expected. In addition, leather cleats will stretch a bit once you wear them a few times, so I probably would have exchanged them for regular 10.5. The only reason why i returned them is because a store down the road was having a big sale and they had a similar shoe that I bought for about 50% off. But would strongly recommend it for those with wider feet.

Wish I had it sooner.
This pair fits perfect. I played soccer from age 10 till around 70 (still play alone), on and off. My first experience wearing a ready-made pair this fit. I even tend to think that it enhances my performance when played. Main reason might be that the wearer is somebody having broader feet, as compared to players of different origins. The leather is smooth and comfortable: No swelling after a few months (I did do a reasonable maintenance). So happy and satisfied. Received great satisfaction for money spent.

New Balance makes great running shoes, and better soccer shoes…
Buying something online is not an experience, going to prom, being mugged, skydiving are examples of an experience. As far as the shoes go New Balance makes great shoes, and soccer shoes too. Soccer shoes are very hard to find a good tight fit, but these shoes fit me like they were made for my feet. I would, and have already, recommended NB to all my pals in our soccer group. I don’t know about the comfort yet since I haven’t worn them yet playing.

Best cleats I've had in a while.
So, I'm a big dude. No... really big! I'm a 280lbs striker who is usually one of the fastest on the field of much younger and fit players. I also coach a high school women's team 5 days a week. But lately my feet have been in crazy pain...not just the weight but shoe quality seems to be worse and worse. I've gone through high end Adidas, Puma, Nike and Diadora. They all were okay for a game or two but became so uncomfortable or fell apart. However, the new balance are a welcome surprise! Going on 5 weeks of almost daily use and they are very comfortable, holding together perfectly and evenly distribute the weight to ease foot and knee pain.

Good Material but Not the Best Design
These shoes are probably the only ones sold in Wide in Amazon, but make no mistake as these are not Extra Wide. Material seems to be good quality, but I see design issues: The arch section is too long and toe/balm section is too short. Yet another issue is that the cleats in the back are too close to each other sideways which make my foot prone to twisting. These are my first impressions and I will see how long they last in the field. In lack of better fitting shoes, I will keep them. I wish designers consider the country they are selling in when they design their shoes.
