So far this is working well. We have stall forts which settle and/or change a bit with the weather. This makes closing the latches effortless again even as things move a little. I deducted one star because it is not very heavy in weight and I am not sure how long it will last.

works great for single doors locking onto a fixed post, but does not work on double doors as you can just push and the latch will slide in its hole.

Our clever pups were pushing the bottom of our backyard gate open and escaping into the wild of our subdivision. We picked up this latch and it was perfect to secure the lower part of our gate. Sturdy and easy to install. Sorry Hounds. No more unsupervised sprees around the neighborhood.

Purchased for a greenhouse door. It's a well-made, substantial latch. We also have a spring on the door which makes for a very secure closure with this latch. This brings up a point. To prevent being locked inside, we attached a strong plastic-coated wire to the latch and ran it through a hole in the door frame. We just pull the wire when we're in the greenhouse and it unlocks the latch.

Good sturdy product, I drilled a hole in the fence post to lock it into - but it also has an included part if your situation is more flush fitting. I included a photo so you can see it installed.
