The Iron Fist King is BACK!/El rey del Puรฑo de Hierro Ha REGRESADO!
I have been playing Tekken series since the third game on PSX, for me that game was a blownout to my senses of 3D fighting games and it remain as one of my favorites. Since then there have been more games on this series, all of them very fun but among them only Tekken 5 filled my espectatives, tekken 6 was fun and introduced some good things on gameplay but it didn't felt as good as Tekken 5, which is the best Tekken I have played UNTIL NOW. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 even being a simple spin off on the main story have proved to be the best Tekken on gameplay. It run smooth, have great graphics, is fast and very dinamic in its combos and it doesn't feel as denfensive oriented as I felt Tekken 6. Pros: +Fast and dinamic gameplay and combo system, with a HUGE variety a posibilties. +A HUGE and LARGE characer list to choose. +Improved graphics and run very smooth even with up to 4 characters on screen. +NO PAID CHARACTER NOR BACKGROUNDS DLC!! (WE Love You Harada!) +The Music is the best I have hear since Tekken 4 and Tekken 3! +You can edit the backgrounds music with the library on your PS3 or with the DLC pack of Tekken to TekkenTag for ONLY 7.50$ (This is a bargain!) +Fast menues and a lot of added options. +Improved Edit character mode (not as great as SCV ut overall very good) +Online mode have improved a LOT! One of the best I have played! Cons: -Pre-order DLC haven't been released even after a month! -Damage rate is a little off. Some moves can deal HUGE damage, even more than a Tag Assault Combo. This was made with the intention to avoid excesive defensive gameplay and the game could end being as SF x TKN where most of the rounds end on Timeup, but that Rate damage plus the RAGE system sometimes make the game a little frustrating. Conclusion: As you can see, there are a lot a reasons to go and buy this game NOW! If you are fan of this series or even if you're new to this saga or 3D fighting game this game is a great beginning! So go NOW and buy it! You will not lost your time and money on it! The King of The Iron Fist is BACK! Best Tekken Game of all
I've been playing tekken since tekken 3 so I am a huge fan of the franchise. The game is very similar to tekken 6 in a way that if you already dominate the concepts that have been added through the years(Walls, Bounds, Breaking grounds) this one will be an easy fit. The game adds the tag dynamics, (tag combos, tag trows etc) which are awesome and very easy to grasp if you are an experienced tekken player. The netcode or online play is awesome and has been improved a lot from the previous tekken game. They also added this website called world tekken federation(WTF) where you keep detailed stats of your online matches and also form teams(Its great). The game has a huuuuge roster including probably all characters from the tekken franchise. The ones that I recall are not in the game are Gon(obviously) and maybe the Gun Jack version(but who cares). There is also a couple of recycled characters like Miharu(Xiaoyu), Sebastian(Lilly), Tiger(Eddy/Christie), Slim bob(Bob) with a couple of differences from the originals but almost the same. They are 4 DLC characters completely free and available for download at this time. For newcomers well the game, as any other fighting game requires(unlike other type of games) practice. You can't just come in button smash and expect to win. The player has to spend the time, practice, understand the game concepts and develop a character. There is a new fighting lab mode/tutorial that clearly explains all the concepts for newcomers, however practice is still needed. Single player... well it has ghost mode, Arcade mode, Survival , Time attack but its a fighting game and these games are made fun by playing with other people either side by side or online. You can customize your characters and there is a bunch of stuff to put on them so you can be very creative. 4 people can play at the same time locally and 2 can go online at the same time. Overall its the best tekken and probably the best fighting game I've seen till this day.

WTFreak show is this?
I enjoy a good video game like the next person but I have to say. Wow. These people who make these video games are going above and beyond to make sure that you get a good replay value out of their games (this is not a compliment). These games are now based on the computer blocking the crap out of any move that you make. I'm from the old school and have finished many a games with much effort & satisfaction but these days it's about the skill level of the AI, not the skill level of the Player. I always start out my games on the highest settings in the tutorial - if there is one. For this game, it's the Ultra setting. I do this so that I can see what madness was programmed into AI so that I can tackle it at any one of the other levels. Right now I'm playing the arcade & have already beaten Jun. It's not that this isn't a fun game (when playing someone other than the AI). It's nice - it's just that the game makes you want to launch the controller & everything else at the t.v. when you have all of that juggling going on especially when you have more than enough life to beat the AI & the AI only has a drop left & then the juggles begin & then you lose. That's Pure unadulterated Bull s**t. Games are supposed to be fun not frustrating. Unless this is the way to justify setting up online play & Making us get online to challenge other peeps around the world. Let me enjoy the game offline first then I can play others online not because I'm frustrated at the blinking game offline , but because I'm ready to open a can of whoopy on some one or heck get it released on me. I'm fine with that to, that's what make it fun for online gameplay. Like others have mentioned, Hard is for Hard & Easy is For Easy. I'm rocking Medium right now & boy it's going to be about time for me to replace my two 50 inchers because Houston - we're going to have lift off. Nice game but all of these companies are going this route. I guess this seperates the "Determined" from the "who cares, I'm done with this Crap".

If your on the fence...TekkenTT2 shouldn't disappoint!
I want to start off by first saying that I was a big fan of the first tekken tag on the ps2. Had many fun times with family and friends challenging eachother, and playing through unlocking everything. Ive been a tekken fan ever since first playing it on ps1. So I was definitely looking forward to picking this game up as soon as it released. On to the point. when you first put in the game there is an install that you have to wait through, which i thought was fine since I know that game installations can help the game run quicker and smoother. Then of course you're brought to the menus which look nice and are pretty straight forward. You have your offline modes, online, tekken tunes ,which lets you edit your songs for certain stages and even during the menus, character customizations, and options. As you might expect the offline modes include your usual arcade mode, vs battle, survival, time attack, and newly added pair play, fight lab, and ghost battle which is just fighting random opponents to rank up and get money. Fight lab is pretty much like a little tutorial mode to teach you the basics, also some mini game type stuff. I only bring up the menus because I was reading though some game review sites about how one of the turn offs about the game were the menus which I thought was ridiculous because theres nothing confusing or annoying about them. I was easily able to learn or find where everything was. But enough about the menus. one of the first modes i tried was arcade mode. At first i couldnt decide which characters i wanted to select. Pretty much all the characters fans have grown to know and love are there. NAMCO even plans to release more characters via DLC, but dont worry because they stated that theyre all going to be released for FREE. (i know we could all use a break from Capcoms practices) Going in to my first match I was able to pull off familiar moves ive known from previeous tekken games plus some new ones (i still needed to practice as i hadnt played tekken in a while). Yes i did own tekken 6, and i was able to notice that the graphics did look slightly better. Stages also have amazing detail as well. So i wasn't disappointed at all with the visuals. (and i can be a picky person) Going back to the gameplay, i loved it. The fighting feels so smooth pulling off move, and also the fighting is slightly sped up compared to tekken 6. i thought that helped make TTT2 more intense and interesting. The sound is great too. The Soundtrack for each of the stage fit them perfectly, and you can also even feel the impact from the kicks and punches you land. After beating arcade mode i was happy to see that each character has their own little cutscene at the end just as the first TTT did. Next i quickly wanted to talk about the Online. Theres Ranked matches, player matches, and then your Stats tracking. i only played about 3 unranked matches just to see how it was. When looking for a player match it shows you the names of the created lobbies and the connection strength of each. It shows the lobbies by putting the higher connections at the top, and red, or low, ones at the bottom of the list. There could be up to 6 players per created lobby. Once you join or create one, theres a text chat box for ppl to put comments, and also theres voice chat. I was also really happy that you could spectate all the matches while your waiting to go next. i joined a full 5 bar and also a 4 bar connection lobby and noticed no bad lag at all. I know how fighting games can sometimes be late when switching to online modes, but with Tekken Tag 2 I was really impressed how i didnt notice annoying delays. Overall I just wanted to write this review for people who are maybe on the fence about buying this game. I know how it can be hard to get into fighting games now a days. (yes i get suckered into playing call of duty to play with friends) I honestly havnt been able to get into any fighting games this generation to where i played them constantly. Some of my old favorites include of course tekken, killer instinct, and Bloody Roar. My brother is a fighting game enthusiast so ive tried my fair share. But Even T6 lost its appeal to me after awhile. But after playing TTT2, im glad i listened to my inner childhood about buying this game. I ended up really liking it, learning moves is not hard at all like it might be in other fighters, and the much improved online mode and features just make it that much easier to keep coming back for more. So i want to end this review by saying that if there hasnt been a game to get you interested in fighting games, then Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is the game to finally reel you in. You'll definitely have a blast playing this with friends, or even meeting new people online that are using mics. Hopes this review helped.

One of the best fighting games out there yet
Tekken 6 was an amazing game, but it was incredibly boring to watch. Tekken Tag 2 however is a complete game changer. Now, not only are the gamers able to enjoy, but the spectators can share the excitement as well. Namco hasn't been really able to captivate audiences with the Tekken series like other fighting games have before (MvC2, SFIII, and SFIV). But after the TTT2 release, it has brought a whole new kind of entertainment to the game. It gives an edge of the seat thrill to the game, like SFIV, when players are suffering from low health points. It brings an excellent dynamic to the game with the tag features, like MvC2, and opens a whole new window of amazing mix up and crazy combos for everyone to enjoy. Apart from it's previous brother, Tekken 6, TTT2 is way faster and less loading times. The interface is smoother and the online play is a level better than T6 in terms of connection. It also offers a pair play, where two players play as a pair of tag teammates. The game is incredibly competitive and gives an adrenaline rush to the gamers. It can also induce a bit of "raging," if you suck at the game. With that said, the game is not exactly newbie-friendly. It takes bit of learning to be able to be considered a "non-noob" to the game. Even though the game may be a bit complex, it does not exactly steal from the entertainment value the game delivers. Overall, after learning your characters in the game, you will have a fun time owning other "noobs" in the game.

Better than the sequels just minor cons that arent much of a big deal
The game is dope but like every game it has a few tiny problems. One is unlocking clothing takes forever, unlike tekken 6. This one takes a while to unlock clothing and such. I do wished it had a 1 vs 1 mode like in the first tag game but sadly that failed. Stages are much epic and I will admit it is much better than the last tag game. Online cheaters do piss me off who uses the same moves over. I can defeat them but some people online arent even a great challenge. But ill admit there can be times where the online in this game gets intense. Theres a tutorial story like mode where you use combot. Its short and briefly explains "how to" for the game with a small tiny story involved. Its short and I wished it was longer and after the tutorial it couldve went into a at least 4-5 hour gameplay story but nope. The other modes are pretty much the same like in tekken 6. The tag mechanics are much better and you can even do grab tag combo moves which is pretty cool. Stages are awesome but I still think the stages off Tekken 4 are still the most amazing off the entire sequels. The music in tt2 is soo good though. They have a awesome original sountrack to all stages and such. Graphics are clean and a better than tekken 6 or the last tekken games. They added more moves on some of players. Best part is that ALL characters from all sequels are on this game. So your favorite tekken character will be on this one. Tekken is absolutely one of my favorite fighting games but Ill admit after playing dead or alive 5 ultimate Ive had mix feelings for tekken but then tekken is unique in its own form.

BEST OF ALL THE FIGHTING GAMES
I'm a huge Tekken fan, I grew up with Tekken 2 and Tekken Tag Tournament. Tekken 6 disappointed me a little with its loading times, juggling system complexity, couple of characters that were gone and other little things.. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Has literally almost every character you can think of (With future DLC with more characters such as Dr. Bosconvich, Violet, Miharu Hirano, Unknown etc.. Just no Gon which I'm happy he's not included).. Just as others have explained.. TTT2 offers many modes, really nice endings, customization, etc. I don't want to repeat everything everyones have said.. Just want to say everything was dne a lot more orgnized, practicing is easier since you can select 2 characters at once and no long load times for selecting characters.. You can finaly pick your costumes without having to guess.. My brother and friends love the game.. It's great for frieends as there so many characters for them to use and check out. I recommend it to anyone who loves fighting games wants to play with friends as well as those Tekken fans who were a little disappointed with 6..

Love it and Hate it
I've been playing Tekken ever since the first came out when I was a kid. I've always had fun with it, and I considered myself really good. Until I found out about the Juggles in Tekken 6. I don't ever remember Juggles, but it's to the point where you can't get one hit in before 95 percent of your energy is gone. On that note, I still love the game for the characters and the CGI endings. There is no side story like in Tekken 6, but it's replaced with a "training mode", that is somewhat helpful, but other time impossible to get a perfect score. (I can't get out a throw to safe my life, lol). My biggest gripe is the difficulty mode. I put it on easy to get through the game fast to get the endings, and just to practice some other toons. Well, let me tell you, it isn't EASY. It's like your playing some Expert online. Especially the boss. You like a ball getting juggled by a clown. I'm no Noob by any means, and I pretty good, but I still have trouble with the last boss. I read there is a patch to fix this, so if you get this after October 8th, there should be a easier mode than easy they say. If you play Online you'll need a Online pass, but it comes with the game. (Just in case people don't know, the Online pass is like DLC. Once you enter the code you always own it. There is a lot of people complaining about this, because they don't understand) The matches do seem to take a while to get one going, and the games saves EVERYTHING. You loose. Save. You edit a toon. Save. You win. Save. Go back to the main menu. Save. You pick a wrong toon by accident. Save. It's to the point where I wanted to chug my controller at the T.V. Why do I have to save everything? I still love the game and if your a fan you will too. I wish the series would tone down the damage on juggles or at least give us a way to get out of it. Other than that and the save issues, the game is great.
