This milk frother does exactly what it says it does- it creates a beautiful silky foam on the top of your beverage
I purchased this to replace my $20 Aerolatte that met its untimely demise when my well-meaning 8 year-old threw into a sink full of water. This milk frother does exactly what it says it does- it creates a beautiful silky foam on the top of your beverage. I use this for my almond and hemp milk hot chocolates and chais. One could use it easily on animal-based milks; because of the fat content animal-based milks they form thicker more velvety foam anyway. This product works on all kinds of milk. It is NOT a steam wand though- it just creates foam. In the absence of a steam wand, I heat my drink of choice on my stove top and then finish it by sticking this frother into the cup and turning it on. You can use it at the top, slightly beneath the surface (to avoid splattering) or you can plunge it down to the middle. Either way will create beautiful foam. Please note that this is an Ikea product that sells for about $3 in the store. Our nearest Ikea is an hour away, so I chose to pay the extra $4 to avoid driving two hours total for a $3 product. It does have a cheaper feel than the Aerolatte, which is most noticeable when you're sliding the button down to turn it on, but because you only use it for a few seconds at a time it doesn't bother me.

Batteries tricky but 2 AA do fit.
Works great, it does take 2 AA batteries. They are a little tricky to get in. First battery goes in at an angle positive up. If u hold it on its side so the battery can tuck in behind the latch of the door. Second goes in negative up, and goes in straight. Make sure the first battery is pushed over on the bottom or the second one will not go in. But yes they do fit. Working awsome for me!

Broke after just a few months
This little blender worked great the first few months I had it, but after it was in storage for the summer due to moving, it didn't work again. I got it out after settling into my new place and was never able to get it to work again, even after cleaning it up and inserting new batteries. The battery door eventually fell off after trying to insert different batteries so many times. At least it was cheap, but still not worth any amount of money. You definitely get what you pay for with this, I guess.

Super awesome and super cheap at the same time
Super awesome and super cheap at the same time. I didn't expect much for 6 bucks, but this makes some nice froth and the kids love frothing everything. Why didn't I give it 5 stars? It seems light and cheap and will need to be replaced soon enough.

Versatile essential for a well stocked kitchen!
This is a workhorse of a frother! When I first received it, I thought it looked and felt cheaply made. The black plastic felt cheaper than most toys you would find at the dollar store. However, do not let the weight or materials of this frother dissuade you from purchasing it. The frother is a powerhouse and can work for a long time! It easily blends and froths milks, powders etc. I use it to mix powdered chocolates into milks, blend matcha for tea, froth for my cappuccinos, cornstarch into water, even for mixing powdered mixes for gravy and such! This is an essential in a well stocked kitchen. It don't take ,cut space and uses AA batteries. The batteries take a very long time to die too, as I have yet to replace them!

Too delicate for me. Simple design: In order for it to turn, the thin metal rod goes through a hidden rubber gasket in the opening into a tiny hole in the case that holds the batteries (Case is tight and batteries are aggravating to insert). The metal rod has to be exactly straight and tightly in the hole in the center or it won't make contact. Because of the rubber gasket, the opening has plenty of room for the rod to move around and come out of the hole In fact, when it came out of the package it was loose in the opening and crooked. Then the rubber gasket became crooked and blocked the tiny hole so away it went. When it worked, it worked well (thus the three stars) but too temperamental..

An effective frother for making Latte if you are not a barista purist.
This is a cheap, functional and effective tool for frothing milk for making Latte. I use a Gaggia Classic expresso machine which does have an attached steam wand for frothing milk, but its easier to use this IKEA electric (battery) device (a kind of whipper, and easier to keep clean) rather than using the steam wand. The IKEA frother is a cheap alternative to the similar but fancier and more expensive Aerolatte frother. These devices wear out after a few years of daily use, and need replacing from time to time The cheap IKEA one is a good choice. A real barista would probably frown at using this "shortcut" to milk froth for Latte, but I like using it.

A must for any kitchen!
The product came nicely packaged. It was wrapped to ensure the metal coil wouldn’t get damaged during the transit. It does not come with batteries so I put in 2 double AA batteries. Very easy to do. Turned it on, frothed some milk, and made a hot chai latte in 30 seconds!! This little guy is powerful!!! Best investment I’ve ever made. The milk frother is also easy to clean. Just rinse under water and you’re done! So simple, quick, and easy. And it’s durable and the metal has not bent on me yet.

comodissimo
Molto comodo da usare con l'interruttore lungo il corpo, al contrario di quelli con il tasto di accensione "in testa", per nulla ergonomici
