AC Infinity 6" Backdraft Damper, One-Way Airflow Ducting Insert with Spring-Loaded Folding Blades for 6” Ducting in Range Hoods and Bathrooms Fans

This is a seriously high quality damper, with construction that you do not usually see in ducting. Thick gauge, and smooth operation. I did not see any rubber or foam gasket that would muffle the sound of the damper closing, so that is a potential improvement to the design (or maybe I missed it?). I installed it in the exterior wall well away from the kitchen hood, so I do not expect the noise to be an issue in my use case. It also installed easily into a straight run of 6" duct, though did require some lubricate to get it in. I liked that it seated within the duct, as we had limited space to work with. I ordered some other flimsier dampers for comparison, and it wasn't even close. Highly recommended.

It is heavy and well made , it works perfectly for keeping intermittent forced air moving one way ..

After reading through dozens of reviews and product information, we first bought the AC Infinity Flexible 6-Inch Aluminum Ducting, Heavy-Duty Four-Layer Protection, 8-Feet Long for Heating Cooling Ventilation and Exhaust.It was packaged so well you could send it as a Christmas gift, the quality of the duct tubing was outstanding.Fast forward a week while we were installing the new stove exhaust fan, we realized we would need this flapper piece, as the old one was getting stuck.We were so impressed with the duct tubing that we purchased this product from AC as well, and were not disappointed. It is the Mercedes of exhaust flappers.This AC flapper was the exact size advertised at 5.79" width/diameter, which was just a smidgen smaller than most of the others advertised at 5.90" diameter.So instead of having to monkey around with it, it slipped perfectly inside the Vikio range hood 30" under cabinet kitchen hood with 980 CFM, 3 speed gesture sensing & touch control panel in stainless steel, vent hole on top the hood.A little larger it would not have worked, we are grateful the AC specs are perfect, it made the install a dream come true.I do agree with another review I read, in that the AC 6" ducting is a tight fit on their own product/flapper, although I got it to slip on, it was as tight as could be without being unworkable, but the bottom line is it went on. And it slipped over the existing 6" coupling tube to the roof perfectly.We will keep this company in mind when doing other projects, such as heating, vents, dryer etc, well worth the cost.Thank you

Kind of difficult tp install with the AC infintiy 6" flex tubing. I wanted to put it online with my exhaust tube and boy was it not easy. I assume that most people want the dampner to keep cold air from coming from the outside to inside their tents? So why was it such a struggle to get the exhaust tubing even partly started onto it. Idk maybe I installed it at the wrong place. It does do a very good job at keeping cold air out. Almost too good now my tent went up about 12 degrees since I installed it.🤷

I use this in a fumes exhaust system for my laser. The system exhausts to the outside. This keeps the bugs out as well as the cold in the winter!! I have had it for about a year and still good a new!!

Sturdy and easy to install. It also does a good job keeping the cold air out and letting the fan vent when on.

Item was as described, was of good quality material and met expectations. Had some difficulty trimming it to size needed due to material being robust

Keeps the hot from the outside from coming back to the inside. Fit like a glove to the AC infinity ducting.
